  • This 1200 sq. ft. Bachelor Pad Is A Young Entrepreneur’s Sanctuary | DR&W: Design, Research and Workshop

    [Sassy_Social_Share]

Set within the dense cadence of the city, this 1200 sq. ft. bachelor pad becomes a counter-rhythm — a sanctuary crafted for a young entrepreneur whose days oscillate between ambition and ease, focus and celebration. Designed for someone who thrives in the company of friends yet values solitary clarity, the home speaks in a language of texture, tone, and quietly confident materiality. It is a residence that understands movement: the calm of an early morning, the charge of a match night, the intimacy of gatherings that stretch into the evening.

The Living Area: A Soft Prelude

The living area sets the opening note of this rhythm. Muted greys and deep olives wrap the space in a refined softness, with lime-plastered walls catching light in gentle shifts and marble flooring returning it in a subdued glow.

    1200 sq. ft.

Two sculptural olive-leather sofas anchor the room with assured presence — generous enough for hosting, composed enough for moments alone.

Rust-toned chairs and bronze tables lend warmth, while a siporex patti concrete column subtly directs the space without enclosing it. The room remains fluid, adapting effortlessly to conversation, celebration, or quiet pause.

The Bar and Media Corner: A Deeper Movement

The bar and media corner deepens the atmosphere, embracing a moodier palette suited to entertainment and evening rituals. A dramatic marble counter, expressive in its veining, forms the sculptural heart of this zone.

    1200 sq. ft.

Matte greys, dark wood, and custom walnut elements surround it with a grounded richness that reflects the owner’s taste for craft and experience. Focused lighting draws out the textures and shadows, creating a cinematic setting where drinks are mixed, matches are watched, and sound fills the room with intention.

The Powder Toilet: A Composed Interlude

The powder toilet distills the home’s character into a compact moment. Olive-toned textured walls form a warm enclosure, while a freestanding sculptural basin introduces presence. Matte black fixtures and subtle lighting create an intimate, guest-facing space that echoes the home’s larger ethos of restraint and clarity.

    The Bedroom: A Gentle Decrescendo

The bedroom shifts the tempo, offering a retreat for a young mind in motion. Wrapped in tonal greys, it becomes a cocoon of quiet. A vertically channeled headboard adds rhythm without noise, while thick drapery softens daylight into a gentle glow. The Bedroom: A Gentle Decrescendo

    1200 sq. ft.

A tall teak wood-framed mirror reflects greenery and expands the space, bringing warmth to its restraint. Here, the design turns inward — a room shaped for rest, reflection, and the steadying of thought.

The Master Bathroom: An Elemental Expression

In the master bathroom, the home’s sensibility becomes elemental. Clad in honed Italian marble, the space feels carved from a single vision.

The monolithic sink stands as a quiet sculpture, paired with matte black fixtures that add crisp, contemporary contrast. Soft daylight from a recessed opening enhances the stone’s natural veining, creating a meditative environment where material and silence meet.

The Terrace Garden: An Open Exhale

Opening outward, the terrace garden becomes a breath of open air — a pocket of stillness shaped by lush planting and a monolithic black-stone bench.

It serves as both retreat and gathering space, allowing evenings to spill outdoors or offering a solitary perch above the hum of the city.

Together, these spaces shape a home that is both refuge and stage — refined, grounded, and quietly expressive. It reflects a young entrepreneur’s life in motion: sociable yet centered, contemporary yet timeless, guided by the calm confidence of thoughtful design.
