    The Suite Life

    Spatial Narrative

Conceived as a unified design environment, the project integrates bespoke furniture, feature wall paneling, and layered lighting into a refined spatial narrative. Rather than treating furniture as an add-on, the architects developed each element as part of an integrated system, ensuring continuity across spaces.

A defining aspect of the residence is that the architects designed a majority of the furniture and paneling elements and manufactured them in-house. This allowed the studio to maintain precise control over proportions, detailing, finishes, and quality—resulting in interiors that feel both considered and consistent.

    The Suite Life

    Elegant & Timeless

The architects designed this home for a modern family seeking a refined yet livable environment. The interiors feel personal, elegant, and timeless. The brief called for bespoke solutions throughout the residence. Thus, moving away from ready-made selections toward custom-crafted elements tailored specifically to the space.

    Materials

Materials such as natural marble flooring, veneer finishes, textured panels, metal accents, upholstery fabrics, and CNC-cut partitions were layered to create warm, contemporary interiors. Spatial planning prioritised openness in shared areas. Thus, introducing intimacy in private zones through custom furniture layouts and carefully calibrated lighting.

One of the defining features of the project is the custom bedroom headboard wall. Here, panelling, integrated lighting, and material detailing come together as a single architectural statement. Across the residence, furniture-led planning reinforces the idea of a home that is designed rather than assembled.

    Integrated Design

For the studio, Crafted Layers Residence became an opportunity to translate its furniture-first design philosophy into a complete residential environment. Thus, demonstrating how integrated design and in-house manufacturing can shape a cohesive and enduring home.

A furniture-led design approach where most furniture and paneling elements were custom-designed and manufactured in-house. Thus, ensuring design continuity, craftsmanship, and precision throughout the residence.
