The overarching idea behind this Interior Design considered certain initial factors, including the architectural layout with its materials and ambiance (clean lines, muted tones, a pop of greenery, and contemporary elements). Everyday routines, such as inviting friends over for gatherings, and various activities like hosting, working, studying, unwinding, and resting, are all regarded as crucial aspects of modern living and were taken into account when designing these spaces.

The living area gives an expansive feel and offers ample cosy seating for gatherings with friends. In this room and throughout the entire apartment, a meticulous curation of furniture and design was undertaken to create well-composed living spaces. The specially curated couch, carpet and coffee table with curvatures nicely contrast the sharp lines of the walls. The blue table adds a pop of colour to the otherwise muted tones.
The corner of the living room is not left neglected. A stunning chair with paisley prints acts as the highlight of the room. A small golden table and an aesthetic planter create a cosy reading corner. In this area, materials and finishes were used to create a cohesive and harmonious connection with the broader project, aligning with the overarching interior design concept. The vases are eye-catching and nicely complement the abstract nature of the dining table and chairs.
The living room seamlessly merges into the dining area which follows the same theme of muted tones and unique pieces of furniture and decorative elements. As with the living room, the fluted wall has sharp lines that are balanced out by the curvature of the side table and other decorative elements. The decorative wooden wall pieces match the wooden vases on the table adding the much-needed change in elements and colour. The shadows that it creates on the fluted walls enhance the personality of the room. The visual style combines various shades of grey with wooden and gold metallic elements. The hanging golden lamp is eccentric and adds a golden highlight just as the corner table does in the reading corner and the golden door laminate does in the living room.
The open kitchen is contemporary, colourful, and cosy to meet the needs of the family. It has beautiful pastel shades of blue and pink that contrast the theme of the living and dining room. Every modification was carefully planned to bring a contemporary touch and cater to the client’s requirements. Thus, it highlights their individual choices, identity and desires.
Although deviating from the greys, the kitchen causes an instant pull. Flooded with light and bright trolleys, it is welcoming and warm. As in other rooms, small potted plants dot the room. The open kitchen, living room and attached dining area create the impression of a big, spacious interior.
In the Master bedroom, different textures blend with a soft colour scheme. This is done to establish a tranquil and snug ambiance, accentuating the textures of paint and wallpaper. The entire room primarily adopts a neutral aesthetic, with grey on the walls, floor, ceiling, and a brush of orange on the wall behind the bed, along with wooden accents in the table and silver in the lighting details. The aim was to ensure the couple’s comfort and harmonise with their established identity throughout the rest of the house. The window seat provides a stunning view of the cityscape
When entering the Kids bedroom, you can find a large window illuminating a large bed. On both sides of the bed are side tables with drawers for storage. The bed has an aesthetic headboard with wave-like curves on the top. The colours follow the flow of the living and dining areas. A sliding door conceals the bathroom. The lower half of the walls is fluted, keeping up with the pattern in the other rooms to create an illusion of a bigger room.
A sleek full-length mirror is mounted on the wall such that it doesn’t take up too much space. The fluted lower half of the wall extends to the top of the mirror creating a nice arch and acting as another element. The wardrobes are also concealed in the same way as the door to the washroom. Sliding doors make sure that they don’t look bulky and also save space. Due to the continuing wall pattern on all doors, there is a continuity to the space.
The powder room received a complete transformation, featuring a lot of character in every aspect. Quirky tiles with a brick like feel were chosen along with a concrete look for the surfaces in addition to a metal grey fixture for the mirror and sink. Simple concealed storage drawers and minimalist yet statement lighting adds to the chic vibe. The shape of the mirror is derived from the pattern on the tiles behind it, showing great attention to detail.
Instead of adding protruding cupboards, a storage space has been created in the wall, again, as a technique to save space and avoid bulky pieces in the otherwise sleek setting. Since this wall is perpendicular to the mirror, the contents of the inbuilt cupboard are automatically concealed without the need of doors.
