High above the city, on the 54th floor, Sthira finds its grounding not in spectacle, but in a sense of steadiness that moves quietly through the inviting home. The family wanted a place that felt pure and enduring. Somewhere the pace softened, the eye rested, and every room held a quiet assurance of being lived in, not performed. Light became the home’s first companion. Light enters gently and settles over soft, tactile surfaces. Limewashed walls, warm veneers, subtle curves, and familiar textures shape the space, inviting touch and quiet attention. Nothing feels overstated; instead, the design reveals itself slowly, allowing its layers to unfold at your own rhythm.
The layout of this inviting home follows this ease. Spaces flow into each other with a calm continuity, connected by recurring gestures. A contour here, a softened edge there, a material choice that reappears without calling attention to itself. This rhythm holds the home together. Each room finds its own voice through quieter shifts in tone, texture, and intention. Natural materials anchor the home, allowing it to feel grounded despite its place in the sky. Handcrafted details appear where they matter most, not as ornamentation but as moments of care — pieces shaped by the designer and the family that carry the weight of something personal, something meant to last.
It is an inviting home that reveals itself gradually — in the way light moves across a wall, in the softness of a threshold, in the quiet coherence between spaces. A home steady in its presence, warm in its essence, and held together by the simple belief that beauty can be both felt and lived.
Sthira Is An Inviting Home That Finds Its Grounding Not In Spectacle, But In A Sense Of SteadinessInside | Inside Nest Design Studio
The living room sets the tone for the inviting home — a soft opening where light gathers and textures breathe. Gentle contours rise along the walls, meeting warm veneer panels that steady the space without demanding attention. Patterns appear quietly, sculpted into the backdrop, felt before they are noticed.
Furniture rests in clean, measured lines, softened by woven fabrics and tactile layers. A tall indoor plant anchors the space with a living presence, offering balance to the otherwise quiet palette. Underfoot, An organic rug shaped in gentle curves continues the home’s language of fluid, grounded forms.
The room doesn’t seek to impress. It simply settles around you — warm, composed, and deeply lived.
The dining area carries the living room’s quiet rhythm forward, allowing its softness to unfold in gentler gestures. On the wall, a piece created with the family—shaped by the designer’s hand and their own—finds its place. Its subtle contours echo the language woven through the home, a quiet reminder of something made together, not added on.
Nothing feels intentional at first look, yet the connection is unmistakable, the spaces speaking to one another in the same quiet rhythm.
Just beside it, the mandir holds its own still presence—neither separated nor exposed, but settling into the flow of the home with a sense of quiet dignity. Its detailing feels familiar, almost ceremonial, without ever overwhelming the simplicity around it.
Together, these spaces form a soft transition—where daily rituals, shared meals, and moments of pause gather naturally into the calm movement of the home.
The kitchen holds a quiet sincerity. Textured walls catch the light in soft intervals, and the cabinetry rises in gentle, uninterrupted lines. Nothing asks to be noticed, yet everything works together with a quiet grace. It’s a space shaped for everyday moments—steady, warm, and touched with the kind of simplicity that lingers long after you’ve left it.
The parents’ bedroom was shaped around a simple wish—for calm, for composure, for a space that didn’t feel busy but still felt deeply considered. That intention sits quietly in the room, guiding its palette, its textures, and its overall ease.
Soft blush tones and warm neutrals settle into the space like a natural pause. The mural behind the bed moves in gentle waves, offering just enough visual warmth without disturbing the quiet the room holds. Details reveal themselves slowly — the warmth of cane, the quiet lines of the storage, the subtle gleam of brass balancing the muted palette. A limewashed wall behind the console adds depth through texture rather than colour, letting the room remain open and unforced.
Nothing is loud, yet nothing is absent. The cane headboard, the curved console, the woven linens—all of them contribute to a sense of comfort that feels lived and familiar.
It’s a room where quiet thrives. Where design exists not in what is shown, but in what is felt—in the small decisions, the soft edges, the gentle balance of tones. A space that holds its calm with grace, steady and grounding, just as they imagined.
The son’s bedroom carries an energy that is its own—calmer at first glance, but with an undercurrent of sophistication that reveals itself slowly. There’s a quiet confidence to the space, the kind that comes from knowing exactly what to keep and what to let go of.
Natural materials remain at the heart of the room, but here they take on a more refined expression. The warmth of cane sits against the depth of rich wood, giving the wardrobes a presence that feels both familiar and elevated. The textures don’t shout; they hum—softly, steadily—bringing a grounded warmth that settles the space.
The bed rests against sculpted wood and soft plaster, and the textile layers add a sense of ease without crowding the space. A small niche sits tucked to one side, shaped by an arch that softens the room’s geometry. It becomes a moment of pause—part workspace, part retreat—held quietly within the broader layout.
Compared to the rest of the home, this room feels a little more dressed, a little more defined. Yet it never loses the steadiness that ties the house together. It’s a room shaped for two people who wanted something with character, but also something that breathes—elegant, warm, and effortlessly comfortable.
The daughter’s room carries a lightness that shifts the home’s rhythm ever so slightly. Softer tones rise gently across the space, adding a quiet uplift that feels intuitive—an ease that arrives without announcement.
The arched niche behind the bed becomes a small moment of expression, a gesture that feels both playful and grounded. Patterns are used sparingly, just enough to bring a sense of movement, like a thought drifting across an otherwise steady backdrop.
A simple study corner rests along the wall, shaped with the same measured intention that guides the rest of the home. It’s a room that stands apart with grace—thoughtful, softly expressive, and held together by an understated sense of presence
What lingers in Sthira isn’t a single room or detail, but the quiet coherence that binds everything together.
t relies on a steady conversation between light, texture, and intent.
It is a home that doesn’t reveal itself in a moment, but over time — settling into memory the way truly lived-in spaces do.
