Residence Unfolds Muted Tones Of Grey | Ground Zero

The 2400 sq ft residence nests in one of the active neighbourhoods in Surat, Gujarat, India. The only way to escape from the hustle bustle of the city is to craft a residential interior that gives a sense of comfort, luxury and breaks the chaos of the outside world.

    Visit: Ground Zero

The client brief demanded that the interiors should delight the eye and also soothe the soul. Creating a simple, practical an uncluttered space was our line of action. The palette of Italian marble, veneer and subtle shades of grey was our deliberate choice to deliver elegance and make the space seem large and warm.

Exploring on curvilinear lines and rendering with dark shade of grey and veneer, the entrance extends a warm welcome along with the greenery enhancing the experience. As one enters, the living room unfolds itself in muted tones of grey. The ceiling lights in living room have been customized in fabrication and are suspended from the ceiling. The partition behind sofa is finished in light grey along with a feature of Italian marble. This partition screens the dining from the living room and maintains a connectivity as well. The TV unit stands bold in polished Italian marble and exudes a sense of luxury. Minimalistic décor along with the hues of green add freshness to the aesthetic. The vanity and temple areas have been carved out from the dining space, each having its own character.

The upholstery and soft furnishings follow a nude palette in all the bedrooms. Standing out in bold blue, the kid’s room is a delight for the client’s son to dwell in.

The bed back exemplifies his interest in marvel characters and also adds drama to the space. Simplistic yet modern, the guest bedroom follows the theme of the residence. The master bedroom brings to mind a calm vibe along with plenty of comfort. Veneer, metal, PU finish, wallpaper come in harmony andenhance the ambience. The panel in nickel and clear glass slides behind the TV unit and reveals the window behind.

A feeling of tranquillity flows through the residence. The wooden effect of veneer and layers of colours blend the spaces together in a harmonious way.
