People are becoming more obsessed with neutrals while designing their homes. It’s not only versatile but also gives an extremely polished and rich look. This 3BHK in Courtyard Trinetra designed by Design Studio Associates is a beautiful concoction of textures and patterns in neutral interior. It’s like fifty-shades-of-beige!
“Going extreme with or without color is always a delicate matter. When a client says they want everything to be bright and colourful, we need to devise a design that harmoniously blends the colours. But the same is also true for when the client asks for neutrals. The design needs to have elements that makes the space look alive and interesting,” explains Ar. Ruchir Sheth, Principal Architect at Design Studio Associates.
Editor’s Note: “In Courtyard Trinetra, neutrality is reimagined through every material and tone while offering visual depth and interest. Minimalism is turned into art, with layers of beige, cream, and blush. Moreover, this home is a gentle reminder that drama doesn’t always shout but can glide softly as a masterclass in calm complexity.” ~ Anusha Sridhar
Neutral Interior Creates A Polished And Rich Look In Modern Home Design | Design Studio Associates
The living room has an accent wall of beautiful contemporized CNC Embossed art. The sofas in a soft blush colour with veneer finish also has a unique structure that advocates for a contemporary traditional design.
The beautiful white marble centre tables with rose gold trimmings add brightness to the space. The cream walls with different panelling and the simple false-ceiling with a gorgeous antique-gold chandelier are truly breath-taking.
The dining area replicates the accent wall of the living room with its own unique abstract designs. The dining table is a sandwiched stone-on-ceramic table with slightly curved legs is a masterpeiece in itself.
The traditional shape of the chair is offset by the use of vougish upholstery. Additionally, the pendant light above the dining table lends an ambient glow to the space.
The kitchen is bathed in creams and beiges like most of the house. The minute details of paneling on the cabinet shutters and using fluted glass for the overhead cupboards enhances the space. Moreover, the gold knobs add a touch of glamour to the design.
The four poster bed with a structured, yet abstract headboard, is surely the focal point of this bedroom. The paneling behind it adds texture and makes the sapce more visually apealling.
The ice-blue upholstered bed is again, a combination of the traditional and modern. Furthermore, the upturned wall-sconces and the bedside table complete the design.
This master bedroom is bathed in lavenders and creams. Moreover, the recessed wallpaper forms a feature wall and brings attention to the cozy bed.
The headboard mirrors the headboards of the other two beds, adding a harmonizing effect to the design palette. The end-tables with charmingly curved legs have a straightforward wall-lamp.
The panbelled closet has an open shelving system that makes putting away everyday essentials easy, adding a layer of functionality to the design.
The third room is a combination of greys, browns and creams – a truly neutral playground! The identical design of the headboard is distinguished by the patterned upholstery used.
The area rug under the bed adds a lot of cosiness and a pop of colour to the space. The timeless panelling of walls ensures a lovely finish to the space.
“We have played with neutrals – correct. But if you look closely, we have also combined and harmonized a lot of traditional concepts with modern contemporary ones. It makes the whole design feel fresh and new, while having timeless elements as well as some truly eccentric ones. It was truly a fun project to work on,” concludes Interior Decorator Krupal Sheth.
