  • Natural Materials Coupled With Soothing Colour Palettes | Artika Interior Designers and Consultants

We all love to work with clients who share their requirements, broad ideas and leave the rest to us with utmost trust. Such was this small family who approached us for their 3 bedroom residence nestled in the lush green model colony in Pune. Thus, a conscious effort has been made of using natural materials coupled with soothing colour palettes throughout the house to give a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Natural Materials Coupled With Soothing Colour Palettes | Artika Interior Designers and Consultants

VISIT : Artika Interior Designers and Consultants

The living area has a waist height shiplap paneling painted in blue extending till the balcony which is the only colour accent. Amalgamation of teak and rattan for the furniture, overall neutral toned upholstery for the seating and abundant natural light gives the area a sense of calmness.

Monochrome stripe accent chairs sit against the ceiling touch cream curtains while the sunlight streams in from the balcony beyond, bathing the entire living space in a warm glow.  A full height partition made in wooden ribs and rattan riveted over sleek metal fabricated cylinders provides a visual barrier between the living and kitchen while also serving as a focal point.

The dining area has a rustic brick cladded wall with a double masonry pattern on it to create interest. A wall was demolished to fit in a tall wooden crockery unit which doubles up as a serving counter opposite the dining.  The kitchen area with parallel platforms is finished in matt white duco which gives it a spacious appeal and is accentuated with classy teal green subway tiles.

Parent’s Bedroom -This bedroom has a delicate fluted panel in moss green shade as a backdrop for bed and TV. The arched wardrobe and dressing panels in raw wooden textures allow it to blend seamlessly with the theme. The contrasting black linen lights on the headboard and long white curtains makes the room warm and cozy.

Guest Bedroom – A comfortable day bed layered with boho cushions takes your mind off the smaller room size. This multipurpose room has a puja unit and a sleek storage cabinet in teal blue nested in the corner. A big bay window with a great view outside to enjoy a hot cup of masala chai in the evening.

Master Bedroom – The master bedroom has been transformed into a calm space to reside and work in by using a classic combination of grey and wood. A heavy cushioned headboard in English pink with monochrome art pieces above it adds charm to the space.

There is a minimalistically designed study unit with an end to end study ledge in walnut wood and a massive overhead storage in muted grey tone snugged next to a generous window. The grey wardrobe with two contrasting bands in wood compliments the overall colour scheme.
