Modern Luxury Home Design Takes Shape at Villa On Sky in Ahmedabad | DOT ARCHITECTS
The core focus was to create open spaces filled with natural light. As a result, these spaces flow effortlessly throughout the home, making every corner feel airy and light. We made civil changes to the structure to ensure light passes through freely. As a result, sunlight fills every room, maintaining an open, spacious ambiance that breathes life into the entire home.
Key design features include a terrace with a beautiful pergola, perfect for outdoor gatherings or moments of relaxation. We also included a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, offering a haven of comfort and sophistication. For the ultimate family experience, a cozy home theater was designed to bring everyone together for unforgettable moments.
We reworked the original builder layout with thoughtful civil changes, placing a sculptural staircase as the heart of the home — a bold central anchor that sets the tone for the entire space. The living area flows seamlessly between formal and informal zones.
No partitions, just intentional seating arrangements that encourage openness, movement, and connection. It’s our way of making luxury feel light and lived-in.
Textures and tones layer softly throughout — from clean-lined forms to warm, tactile finishes and standout lighting details. We tucked the kitchen just behind the dining, making it both connected and discreet — ensuring privacy without breaking the flow of the space.
The master bedroom showcases a timeless blend of veneer, marble, and leather in cladding surfaces, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury and elegance. The connection of room to walk-in wardrobe is such that you can open up the whole space in one and with the partition it encloses into a private dresser as well. We connected the lounge with the bed to enhance the luxury of the scale.
Master bedroom also opens up to terrace which gives enough light and ventilation to the room and the feel of connection to nature. The soothing color palette enhances the serene vibe, making it the perfect retreat.
The parents’ bedroom is envisioned as a calm sanctuary – a seamless blend of a restful sleeping zone, a cozy lounge, and a thoughtfully integrated study nook.
The entire bed and lounge backdrop is wrapped in soft fabric paneling, meticulously matched to the room’s neutral palette to maintain a sense of visual harmony and understated elegance.
Avoiding the distraction of multiple colors, the design focuses instead on layers of texture and tone. The workspace, with its sculptural curves and tactile finishes, balances form and function – ideal for journaling, reading, or simply unwinding.
Every element, from the ribbed detailing to the matte cabinetry, roots itself in warm minimalism. As a result, even the most functional corners elevate to quiet luxury.
The home theatre is designed as an immersive retreat within the home where comfort meets cinematic experience. Opening out to a private terrace, this space effortlessly blurs the boundary between indoors and out.
The connection to the terrace not only enhances natural ventilation and light but also offers an extended lounge setting for post-movie conversations or a quiet evening under the sky. Wrapped in rich textures and a acoustical material, the theatre invites relaxation while the adjacent terrace adds a refreshing contrast — a perfect balance of indulgence and openness.
The design carefully considers every detail, from the brass plate grooving line on the sofa handles to the unique dining table base. The kitchen island stands out as a perfect centerpiece, offering both form and function in equal measure. These thoughtful, minimal touches add to the overall harmony and luxurious feel of the space.
