House of Tints & Shades | Mirari Design Visuals

BAR THE BROWNS ! The first statement of the client and we were clear to avoid veneer/wood finish laminates or any brown colour as much as we could. Hence the name “HOUSE OF TINTS AND SHADES” seemed apt for this 2800 sq.ft Residential Apt.

Beginning with the PLANNING part, we broke all wall barriers and created a house with MAXIMUM CIRCULATION SPACE! Our plan will speak when it comes to civil comparison of Living-Terrace-Dining-Kitchen area which is opened & spaced out well, considering maximum UTILITY of space as well while freezing on the furniture layouts!

We prepared elaborately designed 3d visuals that helped the client visualize the possibilities of the shades and tints that would gel up well.

Summing up to an ultra modern contemporary theme, initially it was challenging to pick the right shade of blue since it was the main colour of the walls to be used majorly. But with careful planning, it all came together as the blend of other furniture, upholstery, furnishings blended well with selected shades!

Living Room: is kept simple with a sleek T.V unit design, dark blue sofa and a single sofa which stands out in design. Behind the sofa, abstract paintings with contrast colors add grace to the overall space. However not to avoid the Greens, they play a major role in this residence. A huge green planter in the corner of the sofa balances the look perfectly.

Terrace: – everyone’s most loved space. Being huge in size we planned to open it up and make it such that the living room and terrace can be completely opened up in case of any events happening in the house! We provided sliding folding terrace doors giving it maximum opening and complete circulation!

This space had to be planned properly considering it was to be a meditation spot, a cozy place to sit on the platforms created for sitting, at the same time some floor cushions making it more comfortable! The buddha wall is lined with natural plants made in cement sheet to avoid the water so as to not affect the durability of the niches created for potting the plants!

Hanging light on the terrace have green creepers which stand out against the dark wall background. European feel window on the opposite wall of buddha and frames related to relaxation enlighten the space with a perfect feel of desired ambience!

    Dining and Mandir:

Simple dining with solid shades of peach, grey and blue and a glass chandelier above the dining add a lot of charm and tranquility! Not to miss the Huge White Clock which sums up with minimal design elegance and the pedestal custom made basin storage merging with the theme perfectly.

    Kitchen:

We wanted to make it unique unlike standard kitchen layouts. MS played a major role by creating a breakfast table and overhead unit too with flat and square MS. The colour theme was maintained with unusual peach colored shutters below.

    Parents Bedroom :

Serving the purpose by fulfilling their basic requirements of having two single beds , a wardrobe and a Tv unit with dressing! Room was small yet placing the furniture properly made it look spacious!

    Master bedroom :

Subtle soothing colors of grey and peach are pleasing to the eyes and hence a good combination. Simple textures and acrylics make the room look classic for the masters!

    Son’s bedroom :

Bright orange, beige, cashmere colors for the room adding the mild steel storage in black looked perfect for the son’s room considering his choice! Attached balcony was considerably small so we opened up the normal sliding doors and created a semi circular platform. Thus making the room look more spacious!

Earthy tone for the flooring in ceramic wooden look tile with brick wall on one side and some green wall on the other side of the balcony balance the elements in a simple yet elegant manner!

    Daughter’s bedroom :

The daughters bedroom consists of unusual blue and white palette with textured walls and raised flooring.

Bathroom follows the same colour with a pine combination on the wash basin counter. Not to miss the greens there too!

    Inspiration :

Clients Statement itself was an inspiration to us for trying with colors! We prepared elaborately designed 3d visuals that helped the client visualize the possibilities of the shades and tints that would gel up well. Summing up to an ultra modern contemporary theme, initially it was challenging to pick the right shade of blue since it was the main colour of the walls to be used majorly. But with careful planning, it all came together as the perfect blend of other furniture, upholstery, furnishings.
