Editor’s Note: The Pastel House by Andspaces has an adorably delightful look to it. The language of pastels and patterns is carried throughout the house, tying it together. Plus pairing it with arched surfaces further adds to the calming effect that the house can transpire into. ~ Nishal Sevak

There’s nothing like a splash of color to revive a room’s ambience, and opting for a pastel is just the perfect place to start. From warm, peachy hues and serene seaside blues, every pastel color evokes a sense of emotion and sophistication, and radiance in this residence.

Every Pastel Color Evokes a Sense of Emotion, Sophistication, and Radiance in this Residence | AndSpaces

The clients had a simple brief for us. They wanted their spaces to be calming, uplifted and light-filled, also with a touch of drama, but enjoyable at the same time. Through the amalgamation of tranquility and drama is a difficult task, yet doing the same, had been our goal throughout the project design.

The softness of pastel colors makes them very versatile and livable. Pastel colours have a dual nature. They calm and relax the spectator while retaining the energy and richness of colour that other subdued tones often lack, and hence pastels with a Victorian touch had been our choice for the palette of this apartment interiors

For the living space of this apartment, the soft curves of the pale mint green sofa were designed, not just to be unabashedly cheerful but also have a warm, cocooning quality to it, especially when used against the Floral wallpaper which creates the required drama with its Victorian touch.

The combination of the palest of pastel pinks and whispered beige was designed to create a wonderfully calming dining space, with the marble dining table in elaborate flutings and a pleasant window seating.

Hoping on the ongoing trend of pastel greens in the kitchen, we designed these fresh tapestry cabinets with a spring-like ambience to it. The woodwork around, ensures to provide that pop of deliciously retro hue, without the pastel becoming too dominant in the space.

Pastels work beautifully in rooms with plenty of natural light, and we’re particularly fond of how the combination of both has turned out to brighten the master bedroom palette. Our design for the White walls to appear larger and more open, sit happily together with the clear sky-blue pastels of the furniture and pastel green upholstery. We love the abundance of texture in soft throws, cushions and wallpaper that add to the relaxing scheme.

The guest bedroom carefully layers the whites and greys of the marble paneling and the accented pastel palm peach in ever so slightly different tones to create calming vibes with a hint of drama.

The pastel Morning light pink and white for the kids’ room, lift and lighten the otherwise playful combination of violet and pinewood.

With the use of pastels in the apartment, their subdued tone resulted in creative, passionate, and vivid designs. These high-end spaces take muted pinks, blues, and lavenders into a luxurious realm, combining the colors with the rich, smooth texture of marble, the retro-chic appeal of lightly colored bare wood, and the modern shapes of lighting pendants, thus resulting is a decadent but soothing home.
