Contemporary Apartment Interior Embracing Client’s Lifestyle And Art Choices | Design Matters Architects + Furdo

We had multiple sittings with the clients to understand their needs, aspirations, and vision for the project. The client wanted a minimal and contemporary interior which would suit their lifestyle and also incorporate their existing furniture, art collection, and a vast collection of book.

visit: Design Matters Architects + Furdo

The client had a customized artwork which had to be integrated with the rest of the space and also wanted this to be the stand out element in the Living Room. We chose a dark-toned stone cladding for the opposite wall to balance it and the rest of the interior furniture was kept light.

For the dining room interior, A large wooden framed bevelled mirror  was introduced to enhance the space. A custom-made sideboard provided by the client is been incorporated in the layout to give it a rich wooden look. The oversized pattern prints for the dining chair upholstery and the lighting by the white teak company adds a touch of colour and class to the decor.

The client required to have a closed kitchen with the view of dining, the existing open kitchen is been converted to a closed one without hindering the view to the dining by designing an auto-close door, cum window with a nice classical touch.

The flooring in the kitchen was changed to a grey marble finish tile for easier maintenance. The cabinet shutters are finished with white coloured high gloss acrylic. In contrast, a dark grey granite counter is provided. The kitchen has a tall pantry unit, appliance unit, side by side refrigerator, and ample counter space with tandem drawers making it spacious and comfortable to use.

The Master Bedroom was filled with natural light with a beautiful wrap-around balcony. The intent was to keep the design simple and elegant. Considering the design intent, A blue wall with paneling makes for an elegant backdrop for the bed headboard. The bed and side table

The daughter’s room has a purple theme as required-A tall purple cushioned headboard with place of books on either side was designed. A purple theme wallpaper for the headboard wall highlights the wall.

The guest room has a simple elegant theme with a full-height Aristo wardrobe with mirrored shutters. This was also designed as a multifunctional room with a place for piano etc.
