This entertainment zone facade exhibits a futuristic and dynamic architectural expression, combining fluid geometry with cutting-edge materials. The idea was to seamlessly blend digital and organic aesthetics, creating a striking visual identity that draws visitors inside.
Beyond The Ordinary, An Entertainment Zone Takes Shape Through Fluid Forms | The Raw Project
The facade features a fluid, undulating form that seemingly peels away from the rigid rectangular structure, creating a dramatic entrance. The curvature softens the otherwise box-like volume, breaking the monotony. The dynamic wave-like structure guides visitors towards the entrance, reinforcing the sense of movement and excitement.
The central archway, an extension of the undulating form, frames the entrance in a way that mimics a portal, inviting exploration. The secondary, smaller arch reinforces depth and layering Integrated LED strip lighting follows the curves, highlighting the fluid motion and enhancing nighttime aesthetics. Subtle reflections on the metallic cladding change with light conditions, giving the building a constantly evolving appearance.
The biggest challenge was execution. It felt like jumping off a cliff and figuring out the parachute on the way down. While the structure looked simple from the outside, the real complexity lay within—engineering a massive steel structure, anchored firmly to the ground and rising like a wave, strong enough to withstand any storm.
This demanded extremely detailed drawings of the internal framing. However, once execution began, nothing on site aligned perfectly with our drawings. We had to make inch-by-inch levelling adjustments on site, standing in the scorching May heat. And just when we thought the hardest part was over, replicating the first half exactly on the other side became another challenge altogether.
The element that has our heart is the form itself. Its fluid, organic, almost futuristic character, expressed through a wave-like curve, gives the space its identity. The real design challenge was not just creating this bold form, but dressing it up right—ensuring that the materials, detailing, and finishes complemented its fluidity without overpowering it. For us, the form is the hero; everything else simply comes together to enhance it.
The structure is conceived in three primary layers, each serving a distinct purpose. The first is a massive V-shaped truss that carries the major structural loads and anchors the form. The second comprises three curved steel members that define the fluid, wave-like geometry.
The third consists of connecting rings placed at regular intervals, binding the curves together to enhance rigidity and structural stability. Finally, an outer envelope of ACP cladding wraps the entire framework, transforming the engineered skeleton into a seamless, futuristic form.
The primary inspiration was to imagine a gigantic wave frozen in motion, which became the driving force behind the fluid, organic form. We also admired the form of the JFK Terminal for its ability to balance architectural expression with functionality. A major influence was our recent visit to the Heydar Aliyev Centre by Zaha Hadid, where the magnificent interplay of flowing curves, folds, and ACP cladding left a lasting impression on us. These inspirations helped us envision a structure that was bold and futuristic in its expression, yet functional in its purpose.

Editor’s Note: Some places feel rooted because they belong to their surroundings rather than trying to stand apart from them. Coffee Sangam in Andhra Pradesh takes this approach through a raw, tactile palette of brick, stone, teak, and mild steel. The random rubble compound wall extends the landscape into the architecture, while the Corten steel […]

A Mock-up That Became a Home – For an architecture practice, a mock-up often helps test an idea before the team translates it into a larger project. It allows architects to work at full scale, examine materials and construction techniques, and understand their limitations. The process also gives them room to test different brick bonds and […]
The house began not with a formal brief, but with a conversation about the kind of life the clients hoped to build within it. Set between the denser urban fabric of Kannur and the quieter residential landscapes of North Kerala, the project responds to a desire for openness and connection. At the same time, the […]
“Pravah” — A House That Breathes is envisioned as the main concept of this home revolves around a fluid, light-filled home where architecture becomes a continuous experience of movement, air, and connection. Located in Pal Gamtal, Surat, the project is a residential redevelopment on a 1,850 sq.ft. plot within a dense urban fabric. The site, […]
