    The restaurant speaks a language of sophistication that is minimally uncluttered and aesthetically in vogue. Located in the Balewadi area of Pune, ‘Ava’ is a 4800 Sq.ft Restaurant and Bar designed by Ruchi Jani.

    One enters into the warmth of wooden textures, slowly transitioning to the calm of some neutral yet layered palette. Plush with vibrant colours, the soft furnishings balance out the tonality of the otherwise neutral base.

    The classic wooden staircase, the handmade rope art pieces, embossed patterns, the delicate lights made out of natural materials like bamboo, special paper, handcrafted banana fiber paper or textile, custom made centrepieces styled with dried flowers add a flavorful taste to the space.

    The intent is to create a suitable home for a brand that takes a feminine name engulfed in florals.

    Spread across two levels, this 4,800 sq.ft. restaurant opens up to a beautiful rooftop filled with trees and plants, offering relief from the notorious lack of greenspace in its dense city fabric.

    The daylight gushing in through the curtains on the lower floor or the sun’s rays cutting through the rafters on the terrace floor add a peculiar kind of drama at different times of the day. The shadow play enhances the scale and adds depth to the otherwise monotonous surfaces. Ava hopes to be

    Ava hopes to be a space one keeps walking back into for its cosy interiors with multiple corners all offering a unique dining experience and, of course, it’s comforting dishes or sip some cocktails to dance the night away.

    This cafe is designed to not only offer a bright and lovely day ambiance but also transforms into a high energy bar with automated lighting play whenever needed. So if one wants to plan a cosy lunch date or an untamed nightlife, Ava – Artisan Kitchen and Bar in Balewadi is the place to go!
