When E-biotorium, a prestigious company, working relentlessly towards healthcare and betterment of the society, came to us to design their new Dadar Headquarters, in the renowned Kohinoor Square in Dadar, we were very excited to work with them. The Founder and CEO Dr. Sagar Joshi, is a very dynamic leader and working with him was just amazing. His team, Mr. Chavan and Mr. Joshi were there to guide our team through his specific requirements. I remember, the first and only brief we got from him was, “There should be a Wow Factor to our office, that is all we want.” Thus the concept surrounded an office space with open and transparent surfaces, spacious areas and elemental inserts.

The biggest task for us was to come to terms with the fact that they have nearly 300-400 people visiting their headquarters every day, making the circulation of the crowd of utmost importance. Designing the cabins in a way to increase footfall in them and even the vestibule areas was a task, which turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of this project.
Working with E-biotorium was great fun, as we got the design freedom, the cooperation and support to push the team to complete this project in the sheer timeline of 3 months. Every corner of this office reflects a certain value and character of this company, blending simplicity and positivity.
The E-biotorium office is spread over a wide area of 5000 sqft, with 5 cabins, a resting room for the Founder and a massive seminar hall that caters to their footfall, where they host 5-6 educational seminars daily. In this seminar hall, we have made sure that maximum space is utilized, with movable furniture, automated curtains and emphasis on the skyline outside.
Using just whites and wooden shades was what we stuck to in this area to make it maintenance-free and more spacious. Moving on to the headquarter office, annexed to the seminar hall, we kept complete glass cabins to focus on the skyline and light wood furniture to make everything lighter and more soothing on the eye.
Using a neutral palette worked in our favour, making the space feel more positive and open for the staff. Having thatsheer footfall was very concerning, as a lot of decisions had to change on site due to this factor, we had to change material finishes and reduce the number of cabins to increase the vestibule, breathing space for such a footfall.
Also, the entire AC systems had to specifically be designed to cater to such crowd coming in constantly, especially in a building that had a complete glass façade and no natural ventilation.
After the completion of this stunning project, as a team we all just thanked E-biotorium and Mr. Sagar Joshi for giving us such a wonderful experience and believing in us, to deliver the WOW factor.
