“The essence of contemporary modern design lies in its ability to balance minimalism with warmth and function with beauty”, says Ar. Vardha Aggarwal, Founder of Sculpt Design Studio. With this essence, lies the story of this apartment – a cozy space for the occupants, which they can call ‘home’. “With the client’s vision of a spacious kitchen and expansive areas for hosting gatherings, we designed the apartment to embody grandeur and warmth. The result is a space that blends elegance with contemporary interior design style, perfectly tailored for entertaining, yet refined in its uniqueness”, says Vardha.
Editor’s Note: “Subtle yet serene, ‘The Nest’ justifies and celebrates the essence of contemporary interior design. Every detail serves a purpose beyond aesthetics and style, offering a timeless and classic expression of modern luxury. Moreover, the interplay of curves, textures, and tones makes this apartment come truly alive.” ~ Anusha Sridhar
An Apartment With Contemporary Interior Design Style | Sculpt Design Studio
As one steps into the residence, an entrance lobby welcomes them with warm lighting and plain lime plaster walls. Featuring a stunning marble inlay on the floor, the passage is crowned with a graceful arched ceiling that enhances the sense of vertical space.
A red console topped by a decor of classical miniature columns adds to the look of the lobby. Further, it leads to the living area– a space defined by open layouts and socialism. Here, the muted palette with hints of minimal color captures attention, blending with the refined essence of the home.
A pop of sage green is added through a curved sofa, juxtaposing the space with style. The living room’s cascading metallic chandeliers and the hallway’s spherical neon lights aim to create a luxurious, artistic atmosphere, blending ambient warmth with modern flair.
Adjacent to this lies the dining area, separated by a floating screen, evoking the idea of freedom in design. Casted by a cascading chandelier, the dining table evokes an aura of elegance and style.
The design incorporates subtle curves to avoid sharp corners and add a sense of visual allure. Soft beiges and brass fixtures further enhance the space, infusing the concept of minimalist luxury in the space.
Moving further into the private abodes, every room itself narrates a unique story. One room is adorned with clean lime plaster walls and pastel green furnishings, reflecting the minimalist essence of the design.
The other room captures attention with pastel pink and magenta hues, adding a bold spirit to the design. Here, a floating dresser and fluted glass panels in shutters lend a sense of uniqueness to the design.
The third bedroom reflects the whimsical nature of the occupant, with anime graphics as a major design element. Bold black and grey hues complement the design while reflecting the idea of luxury. Further, the bathroom includes brass fixtures and a freestanding basin, creating a refined aesthetic.
In each nook of the residence, every element reflects a contemporary approach. Every texture, finish, and play of light showcases thoughtful craftsmanship, inviting one to pause and absorb the surroundings. The home’s subtle details unfold as a compelling, quiet contemplation to call it a ‘home’ and not a ‘house’.
