A Testament To Innovation, Traditional Craft, And Meticulous Design | Studio Mage
The heart of ‘Project Karvai’ is the living area. Here, verdant green hues in a limewash texture greet visitors, echoing the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The TV unit, adorned with rattan-sealed drawers, seamlessly integrates with the ambiance. Meanwhile, wooden rafters add a touch of warmth to the ceiling.
A highlight of the space is a 150-year-old door, imbued with sentimental value, serving as the focal point alongside custom-made teak wood furniture and a vintage trunk box turned center table, sourced from an antique heirloom shop.
Moving to the dining area, the design pays homage to traditional concepts such as the Kandi kal, with an exposed brick wall accentuating one arched wall. Personalized black and white photo frames, featuring vintage photos from the client’s family heritage, adorn the space, creating a harmonious blend of past and present.
The master bedroom exudes sophistication with its greyish-blue theme and limewash-textured walls, accentuated by wooden teak wood beadings.
Fabric sandwiched glass wardrobe shutters and traditional craft of teak wooden beds add to the room’s enduring charm, while vintage pieces sourced from antique stores infuse a timeless elegance.
In the secondary bedroom, minimalist design takes centre stage, with a fusion of greys, whites, and wood accents.
A 55-year-old poster bed from the client’s family heirloom collection serves as the focal point, complemented by subtle grey cement limewash walls and minimal wooden veneer panelling.
The study room bursts with vibrant peach hues, creating an eclectic yet functional workspace. With minimal carpentry work and strategic use of color, the room exudes a bright and lively atmosphere, catering to the client’s desire for a clutter-free and inspiring environment.
Each space within ‘Project Karvai’ is meticulously crafted to reflect the client’s preferences while seamlessly blending practicality with beauty.
From the living room to the study, Studio Mage’s dedication to innovation and client satisfaction shines through, setting a new standard for interior design excellence in Chennai and beyond.
