A modern boho design home for three perfectly mirrors their uncomplicated, straightforward personalities. The clients had a clear vision: they wanted a space that blended modern and slightly Boho styles while remaining deeply rooted in Indian traditions. We brought this vision to life with a thoughtful balance of bright colors, incorporating both warm and cool tones, and showcasing rich wooden textures throughout the home.
A Modern Boho Design Home With Indian Traditions At It’s Core | Studio Stimulus
Soft neutral colors, paired with plush furniture and copious amounts of natural light, are key to the success of this urban modern design.
The double-height living room is illuminated by natural light, enhancing its airy, open feel. A striking feature wall with fluted panels, subtly lit, creates a captivating focal point.
The cool grey tones of the panels are elegantly complemented by the serene blue of the sectional sofa, while the warmth of the wooden details adds a harmonious contrast.
The hand-painted panel in the corner of the dining area serves as an intriguing conversation starter. Meanwhile, it introduces color in a subtle and sophisticated manner.
One of the key design criteria for the guest bedroom was ample storage. In addition to the walk-in closet, the client requested extra storage for linens and other household items. The room also needed to accommodate a reading nook, a study area, and a TV.
We achieved this by using lighter colors and textures to add depth and incorporating open spaces within the storage unit to maintain an airy, open feel.
The first floor has the study, family, and 2 bedrooms.
The family room exudes coziness, featuring subtle hints of rattan and a monochrome color palette that introduce a touch of modern Boho charm.
The study, situated opposite the staircase, is a compact yet highly functional space, thoughtfully designed to provide ample storage for the client’s extensive book collection.
The primary bedroom is a bright, airy retreat that skillfully contrasts lighter and darker tones, therefore creating a dynamic yet soothing atmosphere.
The daughter’s bedroom has been thoughtfully designed for multifunctional use. Moreover, the low-height platform bed adds a playful touch, optimizing the small space and clearly delineating areas for different activities.
Additionally, the color palette of greys, black, and white is brought to life through a range of tactile finishes, enhancing both functionality and style.
The terrace garden is designed with a minimalist approach, allowing you to fully appreciate the surrounding views and the greens.
