  • A Home with a Narrative that Fuse Boundaries of Colors and Textures, Which Further Adds Focal Points | TIA Studio

With this project, we strive to unveil a home with a narrative that fuse boundaries of colors and textures, which further add focal points and backdrops. We played around with materials, forms and functions that were intended to make a space where the family can truly be themselves and encourage them to interact with the surrounding based on their moods, not limited to the designated space.

The challenge, most important to us was to understand the unvoiced desire of a family of 5 with a generation gap from youngest to the eldest, keeping their comfort and age in mind to design a space and accomplish them in our project.

Entering into this living area, which has been built to accommodate both formal and informal gatherings. A formal seating space suited for entertaining guests, as well as a low-height seating area that gives a cosy and comfortable ambiance, are divided into two different sections. The seating features light pink flower petal upholstery with wooden legs and a framework, which adds a whimsical touch to the environment.

Two side drawers give adequate storage as well as a convenient place to lay a cup of coffee. The walls are painted in clean and invigorating colour that create an open and spacious atmosphere while emitting a youthful vitality throughout the space. With the ceiling left completely white, this living room exudes simple beauty.

Moving on to the dining area, there are mirrored panels with v-groove design that serve as an eye-catching backdrop. This accent creates a strong statement, creating a lasting impact on all who enter. This dining room is likely to impress even the most discerning of clients. with the added benefit of creating the illusion of extra space. The dining area looks even richer with its wooden joinery with a marble top that sits in the center of this space.

When it comes to the kitchen, functionality is everything. As a result, this open plan was created with the client’s requirements in mind, taking into account the many ways in which they will use the space. The richness and drama of deep brown shutters is easily interwoven into the soft white texture on the walls, producing a unified and earthy sense that is both appealing and functional. And, with a focus on keeping the space clean and clutter-free, this kitchen is destined to become the heart of this house.

The intention when designing the children’s bedroom was to make it as simple as possible with less sharp edges; the client’s parents would be visiting frequently and so needed a place that would accommodate their requirements while also accommodating a young kid. With soft edges and countering straight lines, the corners of the bed was created to make the space sing.

The Master bedroom space has a corner seating and TV unit, in particular, were envisioned as a unified unit, with one side of the unit designed as a low-height platform seating area that allows for lounging against the window and enjoying the panoramic vista of Sarkhej Roza.

The furniture itself is designed to flow seamlessly from the seating area into the TV unit, creating a cohesive and integrated aesthetic. To achieve a sense of elegance and calmness, the furniture is finished in a smoke-Grey color, which adds an inbuilt grace to the space. Finally, the material palette used in this room is truly unique, which brings a distinctive and personalized touch to the design.
