Modern Luxury

The design approach focuses on transforming the space by harmoniously integrating the client’s personal essence with modern design elements. Every detail enhances functionality and aesthetic appeal while optimizing vertical space solutions and personalizing elements that reflect the unique personalities of the inhabitants. The result is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant living experience that captures the essence of modern luxury. The entrance foyer directs guests to the left towards the five personal bedrooms and one guest bedroom spread across two floors. Turning right guides them to the communal areas. The central marble staircase, opposite the main entry, connects the two levels and adds a touch of elegance to the overall design. Each room has been customized with bespoke furniture and custom illustrations, fostering a sense of individuality and emotional connection. Additionally, this duplex house plan features six toilets, ensuring convenience and functionality for the residents and their guests.

Entrance

A custom-designed gold-panelled PU entrance door has been created to make a dramatic first impression. While the door appears as a single long piece, it is divided into three sections with 3D effects and wood scoops. This eye-catching door features a matte gold lacquer finish with punctures that show holes from inside to outside. This dramatic entrance sets the tone for the entire home, which defines the Mrignain residence.

Living Space

The living space is divided into four sections: the living area, bar, dining area and entertainment room. Fusing vibrant colours and classic accent pieces creates an energetic, sophisticated living space.

This area features two long seating sofas and a custom-made adjustable-height table with fluted glass and leather infusions to create a cohesive, refined look.

A Manchaha carpet from Jaipur Rugs lends a traditional touch to this space. Strategically placed lighting highlights vital design elements and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere.

An open-plan layout leads to the dining area, designed to be compact due to structural limitations. Custom chairs with armrests and a minimalist table with a glass top add to the sense of expanse in this space. The proximity to a window allows natural light to enhance the dining area, providing a more spacious and airy vibe.

Primary Bedroom

The primary bedroom combines lime plaster and wooden flooring to infuse natural elements and provide warmth. Muted colours such as beige and subtle tones have been used for the walls, and custom-made vertical lights add a bespoke touch, enhancing the room’s elegance.

The closet doors feature fluting panels and pop fluting above them, along with chevron groove effects for added texture and visual interest.

Parents’ Bedroom

Colonial vintage and rooted Indian aesthetics describe the parents’ bedroom. A collage of monochromatic photographs creates a memorabilia-filled wall reflecting the occupants’ memories and personalities. The bed’s posts have been designed as four minarets instead of a traditional four-poster bed, maintaining an airy feel while preserving an Indian classical aesthetic.

Despite the spacious layout, the ensuite bathroom required multiple space bifurcations. The design team installed glass partitions to protect furniture from moisture and water, creating visual continuity while dividing the space into wet and dry areas. They crafted the bathroom furniture from marine-grade plywood, ensuring durability against moisture and aligning with the design theme.

Daughter’s Bedroom

Given the bijou size of the daughter’s bedroom, the design team implemented thoughtful space-saving interventions.

These include a Murphy bed integrated into the wall. The intelligent design ensures the room is in tune with the client’s needs and has ample room for play and other activities.

Son’s Bedroom

Meanwhile, the son’s bedroom encapsulates a design scheme that reflects his interest in athletics. This space is doused in a vibrant tangerine orange palette complemented by a tropical wallpaper.

The incorporation of sports elements such as a horizontal ladder-like structure provides an adventurous feel, reminding him of his love for adventure. Playful features such as a hanging ladder and horizontal bars add a zany touch.

Guest Bedroom

A daybed helps save space in the guest bedroom while showcasing vibrant Indian designs. Despite its small size, the room includes a wardrobe behind the accent chair. The selection of fresh fuchsia hues and subtle green panels for the wardrobe background complements well. The design features cane, serving as the chair’s backrest and storage table panel, providing a traditional look while ensuring stability.

Residence With Emotional Resonance

Project Mrignain is a testament to the power of design to evoke emotions, create connections, and transform a house into a warm and inviting space. It showcases the elegance of blending functionality with emotional resonance. Every detail reflects the meticulous planning and creativity of Studio Jane. This residence meets the family’s practical needs and creates a timeless sanctuary that celebrates their uniqueness and modern lifestyle.
