To bring to reality, as the pictures depict the project, the client presented us with a site that was extremely challenging (In terms of space as it was a basement). Another big challenge to this project was the timing, since it was during national lockdown. Our vision was to make the space feel large and luxurious, but the question was how to do that while keeping the essence of the space?

Here is a description of what decisions were made from the start of the project. As we get entrance of the lounge, we get a foyer that is uniquely designed with some patterned monochrome tiles with accent chairs and a planter.

The space was handed over cluttered and in a mess. With the place covered with tiles and multiple leakage problems, there was certainly a lot to do. With a small amount of natural light the colours and furniture was to be well thought.

The best way to remodel and design was to get an idea of what the client wanted. Their main requirement was a minimal and organised space for a classy bar-room.

The lounge has been well defined by incorporating multiple colour combinations like hues of blues, greys and tan. This was done with the intention of giving the room a dimly lit view with a lively experience; A little touch of wood was given to develop an aesthetic and it also made the green element a strong focal point. The distinct colors of the decor & furniture were chosen to complement the entire appearance of the space.

We designed the lounge with the most soothing colors with dim lighting so that the reflections stay to the minimum which made the lounge seem cozy and luxurious instead of cramped and compact.

The lounge has been broken down into two sets of seatings, one crafted as an ambience for an audio-visual space, with acoustic considerations, while the other one as a bar counter.

To highlight the warmth and snugness of the lounge we painted the highlighting wall with blue colour and accentuated with track lights.

Every article of furniture that was selected was loose as the client wanted more space at times with intentions of small parties, gatherings and game nights.

The lounge has a piece of highly comfortable furniture to get lost in to the comfort of the space. The whole space is warm and welcoming, highlighting the luxury of the lounge.

The bar counter is a space where the luxury of the speakeasy felt timeless especially when soaked in nostalgia with your closest ones. The bar unit ecstatically accentuated the counter with a combination of the colour orange that went well with the lighting as well.
