Editor’s Note: The combination of black, shades of blue, and bricks has never looked so delightful before! The individual cabins have their originality while being incorporated with the insert of greens. With the desperate need of transformation, a metamorphosis that would infuse it with life, elegance and creativity, where the stark white walls & natural light cast a lifeless pallor over the workspace.
Following the companies tag line, “The Master of Black”, Black was chosen as the cornerstone of the design, where furniture and fixtures were carefully selected to compliment the dark. The darkness created a striking contrast against the natural light flooding through large windows.
Contrasting elements were introduced to balance the design. Pastel accents, to custom designed wood furniture, composition of different materials and upholstery brought a sense of harmony and lightness to the space. The lush greenery strategically placed throughout the office brought life and vibrancy to the black canvas.
Every corner was strategically design to focus on functions of each space, bringing elements of surprise and creativity to overall aesthetics. The break room was designed in contrast to black, using pastels and lights shades, to create a sense of escape from the daily grind, where “we think in shades”.
The office was reborn as it shed its lifeless facade and transformed into a modern, contemporary and inviting workspace. It was a testament to the power of design to shape not only physical environments but also the spirit and culture of the company.
