A 19th Century Heritage Bungalow with a Vintage and Enduring Twist that is not just Antique but Timeless | Team Shabnam

    Visit: Team Shabnam

The main entrance immediately transports us into an ageless design indulgence. The old wooden doors have been retained with stylized modifications and new polish. The foyer console table has been retained as a reminder to the glorious past of the historical architecture. However an art piece has been added to enrich the ingress into this classic living space.

The staircase marble was changed for better endurance further adornment. The entire stairwell has been dotted with precious artwork from across the globe.

As an appurtenance to the grandeur of the space, a touch of blue was added with a huge aquarium incorporated in a window box. To illuminate the beauty of the space and enhance its vintage feel, there are a number of classical light fixtures as high as on the double height ceiling that brighten up the area. The old balustrade has been refurbished for longevity and style.

The entire first floor lobby is embellished with intricate wooden curved designs. The minty colour gives a fresh pastel feel and finish.

The master bedroom has been made picturesque with rustic furniture that have been customized and specially ordered from Nivasa Home, Delhi. The expanse of the room has been blanketed with rich carpets ordered from the 100 year old carpet company, Obeetee. The glorious and opulent chandeliers in the dining area are from Purpleturtles, Bangalore.

The lights in the master room are from various renowned retailers from Delhi. Most of the other decorative pieces are from Murano, Italy. The architectural spotlights are from the Italian brand, Delta.

The bathrooms are heavily inlaid with marble. There is a decadent jacuzzi and the shower cubicles are from JB glass.

In front of the baby room a fun design element was added by creating a slider along with a wooden staircase. A starry light ceiling was conceived and installed for the kids’ area to keep them calm and safe. All of the bed accessories and adornments are from Sarita Handa. All the windows are nestled within glorious marble boxes.

The box room and the walk-in closet are any shopper ‘s dream. The guest room walls have cozily wrapped in gorgeous wallpaper specially made in Italy. The floor has been laid out in white Italian marble Chiante.
