    We always say that a contemporary interior design house is a reflection of the owner or the resident but in actual it is also the outlook the designer has towards design. The best part happens when both of the entities come to a common likeness. Then comes a free hand to design and explore and deliver what is expected. This stood true for this residence as the client is a regular with the design firm, inspiration the design avenue, headed by Interior Designer Prarthana Nangia, of Nagpur The house of frames is an extended part of the their existing 2500 sq. Ft .duplex residential space having four bedrooms, dining, kitchen and a family living area. It was done up by us 4 years back.

    Using Framed features was an instant thought on the first site meeting as when you look towards the extended side, it feels you looking through a frame into a picture with depth and character. One of the two side by side entrance doors was closed to form a shoe unit with a seating. The area was treated with stone veneer sheets and a spc wood finished floor.  Drawing room full view showing the length of the room

    Contemporary, clean and connected, all the spaces have a splash of framed features, subtle and prominent that makes “The House Of Frames” what it is. You can clearly find lot of frames all around the place with varying sizes, formats and a vast range of material palate…… From doors to openings to windows, from ceiling to floor to furniture. Double height area detail with the framed concept incorporated into railing and planter.

    When at the staircase, it has its own story to tell. You start walking on black floor with veneer finished half wall. The lit wooden handrail throws that needed amount of light on the veneer and forms the guiding light in the dark. The double height walls adorn resin art panels with a concentric frame design on the ceiling. The designer took the liberty to add floor mounted railing frames standing individually and adding a completely contrasting character of angular lines to the whole design appeal.     The entire lower level has a neutral matt finish appeal with a bronze mirror pvd finish SS frame work forming a strong element connecting the double height spaces and depicting the concept of frames in a bolder and brighter format. The frames form the railing at the overlooking double height and it extends to the lower level to convert into a planter holder. This framework acts as a focal design element fulfilling multi facets of the space. Seating side view with sofa, rose gold finish pvd ss frame work forming a planter.

    Walk-in wardrobe full view with dresser. The dresser mirror is framed with a black pu coated wooden frame. Profile lights run along.Walk-in wardrobe with hanging and drawer system side view. The entire wardrobe is made in ply and finished with fabric texture laminate. The wardrobe drawer system and hardware used is of ebco brand.

    Workout side view in the gym area. The gym walls are finished with micro concrete, lined with black skiritng and framework. The ceiling has been painted dark with suspended profile lights to cut it off visually.The gym accomodtaes a massage bed, restroom for convenience and a shower and steam cubicle for post work out relaxation.

    Designing the space for a family of four relocated from Mumbai with varied lifestyle and approach towards everything, opened up a large spectrum of spaces to look at . This Duplex apartment with space measuring 2500 sq. Ft. Located in the orange city, Nagpur, has been completely designed for luxury and entertainment.

    On a whole a different concept executed with bold simplicity. As the spaces unfolds one after the other you get touched with the calming luxury.
