    An Apartment Interior With Contemporary And Minimalist Functions | Group Of Design

    A neutral colour scheme has been followed in the décor along with shades and tints of various beautiful and fresh colours

    OVERVIEW
    A surat-based design firm, Group Of Design, fashioned the interiors of this 2000-square-feet, 4BHK apartment which is located in surat, later it was converted to 3bed and 1 bedroom as a multipurpose room, The family of five —parents, son, and grandparents —wanted the home to be neat, functional, easy-to-maintain and aesthetically-pleasing. We went for a modern and contemporary concept along with minimalistic furniture, muted ceilings, soft and ambient lighting.

    A neutral colour scheme has been followed in the décor along with shades and tints of various beautiful and fresh colours. Pastel shades are splashed here and there through furnishings and draperies an abundant display of contemporary artworks. The interior overall explores the idea of wood as a base material with complementary materials such as brass, glass, fabric, stone, texture – pigments, etc to enhance the patterns that reflect the family’s cultural beliefs. Artifacts and accessories that are close to the clients have been carefully placed along with modern elements throughout the house. The rustic cycle at the dining wall makes for a memorable installation.

    MAIN DOOR
    Upon arrival, the combination of grey tiles and brass inserts give the space a sense of subdued elegance. The entrance is marked by a massive door veneer finish with lord Ganpati embossed on teak wood ring.

    LIVING ROOM
    The living room exudes elegance through marble and veneer finishes, layered with sophisticated furnishings. This space is flooded with natural light throughout the day, creating a cheerful ambiance. White Statuario marble dominates over the T.V. unit wall. Black glass and wooden strips grant a visual distinction on a marble panel on this wall. glass, Italian stone, and fabric were chosen to work with wood in creating different material experiences. The living room is fuss-free with clean lines. The wooden paneling on the walls with a criss-cross geometrical pattern.

    GRANDPARENTS ROOM
    The parent’s bedroom is located on the south-west side, it is a simple serene space that does not see loud design flourishes, with cantilever wardrobe We were careful to include minimal handles and knobs to make the furniture functional and ergonomic.” veneer is used as a base material in the bed backdrop wit M.D.F texture.

    BALCONY
    The balcony is where the family can be seen doing a lot of things having a cup of tea, reading newspapers, preparing for meals. Wooden decking, coupled with an artificial lawn and comfortable outdoor seating make the balcony a perfect lounging spot.

    DINING AREA
    The living room leads into the dining room through a broad entryway. This is the most interesting area in the entire home. It isn’t just a dining space; it’s a gateway to all the bedrooms and serves as an organic meeting point for a family. The undulatory wooden ceiling spanned across the, dining spaces brings a sense of warmth.

    The rustic wallpaper with metal art acts as a backdrop to the bespoke furniture in the space pronouncing elegant luxury along with a sense of timelessness The wall on the right is embellished with diminutive mountaineering-themed figurines. The Italian marble top dining table paired with cream coloured chairs complement the pendant copper hanging lights above.

    KITCHEN
    The kitchen lies adjacent to the dining room, appearing as a seamless extension. Its aesthetic is minimal, Reflective finishes, defined by glass-fronted and glossy white cabinets and fusion pearl granite for the kitchen platform, give the space a sophisticated flourish.

    POOJA ROOM
    The puja room is located at the center of the house. serene space with the shrine and the wall behind it in white Corian with carving, throwing into relief the central idol in bronze. A metal hanging lamp introduces a touch of warmth. the door was left untouched since its a beautifully carved traditional, pure Burma teak door and holds rustic carving of lotus and tringle with hanging bells.

    SON’S BEDROOM
    The first master bedroom for the young son’s explores brass with veneer. he subtle brass inlays and elements bring a sense of elegance and warmth to the master bedroom. A study area has been accommodated connected with the wardrobe. The warm earthy palette of materials, textures, and colors are alluring and comforting to the eyes.

    PARENTS BEDROOM
    The second master bedroom for the client explores with pigment grey colour and veneer creating a geometrical pattern tangential on the backdrop of bed To open up space, the white walls are kept bare save for three framed artworks. The pictures feature the street of Paris.

    Each furniture element is designed by the studio, consists of the dressing table, working table, and sleek minimal TV unit, concrete textured walls lends a luxe factor to the bedroom. The attached bathroom is minimal in design, using stone effect tile With countertop basin.

    MULTIPURPOSE ROOM
    The guest bedroom is located on the right side of the dining area which opens with a sliding folding Door to connect with the dining and kitchen area which creates open space in the house. The architect has converted the fourth bedroom that was part of the initial layout into a Multi-purpose room .this is the family seating area with sofa-cum- the bed has been placed to Accommodate guests here as well when needed.
