Materiality as the Soul of this Goregaon Apartment | Barefoot Story Pvt. Ltd.
Living Room reflects simple and efficient planning, with minimum furniture. The television unit extends seamlessly from the wall, using subtle tones to create a continuous surface. It integrates the master bedroom door into the wall rather than treating it as a separate element.
The design for Anchor @ Goregaon unfolds through a series of repetitive details and recurring elements that contribute to a larger spatial narrative, creating continuity rather than moments of visual disconnection.The design team carefully selected laminates, fabrics, and finishes to complement the brass artefacts and objects the clients collected over nearly three decades. These choices create a space that celebrates their collection and the memories associated with it.
Both bedrooms are planned to accommodate functional requirements while maintaining a cohesive visual language, where each element and colour tone complements the other. Curved edges across furniture pieces soften the spatial experience, while warm wooden laminates form the primary backdrop against which subtle pastel shades emerge gently within the space.
Highlight of this project has been design of doors, where concerns of safety in high-rise were addressed through use of glass pane in door and dice-block motif.
A key highlight of the project lies in the design of the doors, where concerns of safety within a high-rise setting were addressed through the integration of glass panels and the recurring dice-block motif. Conceived as more than transitional elements, the doors become active design planes that maintain visual continuity while contributing to the larger language of the house.
