  • Spread Across 4 Floors, This Luxury Home Has Grandeur As Well As Intimacy | Moi Den Interiors

    [Sassy_Social_Share]

In the realm of luxury residential design, few homes achieve the delicate equilibrium between grandeur and intimacy. This 7,300 sq. ft. residence at Sobha Villas, Dwarka, envisioned and executed across 4 floors by Moi Den Interiors, stands as a compelling example of how thoughtful design can transform scale into a deeply personal experience. Rooted in a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco, the home unfolds across 4 floors as a layered narrative of craftsmanship, material richness, and refined spatial choreography.

Founded in 2012, Moi Den Interiors values precision, emotional resonance, and timeless appeal in its design philosophy. Led by Vandana Goyal and Kanika Goyal, the studio creates deeply personal spaces through a holistic and precise approach. This project, one of their most expansive to date, exemplifies their ability to orchestrate complexity with clarity.

The Living Experience: Where Form Meets Comfort

The formal living areas set the tone for the home’s design narrative. Plush seating in muted tones is juxtaposed with sculptural furniture pieces, creating a composition that feels both curated and comfortable. Channel-tufted sofas in burnt umber, paired with fluid, abstract rugs, anchor the space while adding visual movement.

Walls are treated with a painterly sensibility—featuring textured finishes, antique mirror cladding, and subtle mouldings that reference classical design principles. The interplay of these elements creates a layered backdrop that feels rich without being overwhelming. A series of bespoke lighting installations serve as focal points, their sculptural forms echoing the Art Deco influence while adding a contemporary edge. These elements, combined with carefully selected décor and art, transform the living spaces into an elegant yet inviting setting for both everyday living and formal gatherings.

The Drama of Verticality: Double-Height Dining

One of the most striking spatial moments in the 4 floors home is the double-height dining and informal lounge area. Here, the design celebrates verticality, using height as a canvas for expression. A cascading chandelier installation, reminiscent of a kinetic art piece, descends dramatically through the space, becoming an immediate visual anchor. Its intricate composition introduces movement and light, casting dynamic reflections across the surrounding surfaces. Complementing this is a palette of soft neutrals accented with deep greens and warm metallics, creating a sense of understated luxury. Floor-to-ceiling drapery softens the scale, filtering natural light and adding an ethereal quality to the space.

The dining area itself is elegantly restrained, allowing the architectural volume and lighting installation to take precedence. This balance between bold gestures and quiet detailing is a recurring theme throughout the home.

Private Retreats: Bedrooms as Personal Sanctuaries

The private spaces continue the narrative of refined luxury, each room tailored to its occupant while maintaining cohesion with the overall design language.

The master suite is a study in quiet opulence. A four-poster bed with classical detailing anchors the room, set against a backdrop of custom wall treatments and mirrored accents. The palette remains soft and neutral, elevated through subtle gold highlights and layered textures. Every element—from upholstery to lighting—has been curated to create a sense of calm and sophistication.

Adjacent lounge spaces introduce richer tones and tactile materials, offering a more relaxed and intimate setting. Deep greens, warm woods, and plush fabrics create a cocooned environment, ideal for unwinding.

The parents’ suite, on the other hand, embraces a slightly more traditional aesthetic, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Fluted panels, warm lighting, and tailored furniture pieces come together to create a space that feels both familiar and refined.

Mustard accents add a touch of warmth and softness to the space and perfectly complement the sublime neutral tones to create a visually pleasing composition.

The Basement: A World of Indulgence and Entertainment

In contrast to the light-filled upper levels, the basement unfolds as a moody, immersive retreat dedicated to entertainment. Designed as a self-contained experience, this level seamlessly blends luxury with leisure.

At its core is a bespoke gaming lounge, where a custom poker table becomes the focal point. Surrounding it, sculptural seating in rich mustard tones introduces vibrancy, while geometric carpet flooring patterns reinforce the Art Deco influence.

The adjoining bar area is equally striking—defined by fluted detailing, metallic accents, and a
rich material palette. Carefully layered lighting enhances the mood, creating an ambiance
reminiscent of an exclusive members’ lounge.

A concealed projector screen transforms the space into a home theatre, allowing the lounge to transition effortlessly between social gatherings and cinematic experiences. This adaptability reflects a key aspect of contemporary luxury living—spaces designed to evolve with the needs of their users.

    Designing a Refined Urban Sanctuary

At the heart of the design lies the intent to create a sanctuary—an environment that feels luxurious yet grounded, expressive yet restrained. The home spans 4 floors, including a dedicated basement entertainment floor, each designed to reflect a distinct mood while maintaining a unified design language.

The overarching palette is warm and nuanced, built on layers of soft neutrals, earthy undertones of burnt umber, and subtle metallic accents. Rather than relying on overt opulence, the designers use texture, proportion, and detailing to create depth. Rich veneers, fluted panels, and custom metal inlays form a consistent architectural vocabulary, lending the interiors both structure and softness.

Lighting plays a pivotal role throughout, carefully curated to enhance spatial volumes and highlight materiality. From recessed linear lighting to sculptural chandeliers, every source is intentional—designed not just to illuminate but to elevate.

    A Holistic Design Approach

What truly distinguishes this project is Moi Den Interiors’ commitment to a holistic design process. Executed as a complete design-and-build project across 4 floors, the studio was involved at every stage—from civil modifications and architectural planning to the final styling of décor elements. Ceiling designs, wall treatments, flooring, furniture, lighting, and soft furnishings were all custom-developed to ensure a seamless narrative. This level of control allows for a high degree of precision, resulting in spaces that feel cohesive and intentional.

Every detail, no matter how small, has been thoughtfully considered. From the curvature of furniture to the placement of lighting fixtures, each element contributes to the overall experience of the home.

    Timeless Luxury, Thoughtfully Crafted

The Sobha Villas residence is more than just a showcase of luxury—it is a reflection of a design
philosophy that prioritizes longevity, craftsmanship, and emotional connection. By blending
contemporary Art Deco influences with a warm, livable aesthetic, Moi Den Interiors has created
a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

In an era where luxury is often equated with excess, this project stands apart for its restraint
and clarity. It is a reminder that true sophistication lies not in abundance, but in the thoughtful
curation of space, material, and light.

Through this residence, Moi Den Interiors reaffirms its position as a design studio that
understands the nuances of modern living—crafting homes that are not just visually compelling,
    but truly lived-in and experienced.
