The core challenge of this compact space project lay in achieving efficient space planning while ensuring the entire office received ample natural light. From the outset, our goal was to create a workspace that felt open, connected, and visually light despite the compact footprint. The designers thoughtfully designed the layout to house three directors within a single main cabin and provide comfortable seating for six employees in the dedicated workstation area. They seamlessly integrated additional elements—including a compact pantry and well-planned visitor seating—into the overall layout without compromising circulation or openness.
Compact Space: Smart, Stylish, Efficient | Eth Design Studio
To enhance the sense of space, we relied extensively on glass partitions, using solid walls only where absolutely necessary. This approach allowed natural light to travel freely across zones, creating a brighter and more energizing work environment. “The designers used full-height glass panels to maintain visibility while separating private and collaborative areas, creating a workspace that is both open and functional.”
“The employee desk area features integrated storage and a metal partition, while the pantry corner uses glass to admit natural light.”
“Glass partitions bring in natural light and keep the MD connected visually with employees.”
The directors’ cabin features a custom-designed table that balances aesthetics with functionality. Its dual-sided layout allows all three directors to work comfortably while maintaining a seamless visual connection within the space.
Each side is equipped with dedicated storage, thoughtfully integrated to keep the workspace organized and clutter-free. This multi-purpose table not only enhances efficiency but also becomes a key design element, contributing to the modern and refined character of the cabin.
