These Green Interiors are Inspired by Hues of Jade Stone | FLYP Designs

The Jade House is a celebration of green interiors through colour, texture, and thoughtful functionality. A home where every design element has been carefully curated to reflect the personality of its residents while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. Named after the precious jade stone, the home takes inspiration from its lush green tones, which appear gracefully across different areas, lending each space its own identity while tying the entire house together.

Living Space

In the kitchen, a bold, deep shade of green dominates the cabinetry, instantly adding warmth and character to a typically utilitarian space. This statement continues in the master bedroom, where a rare and beautiful avocado stone has been used. Its vibrant, organic tones make the space feel rooted in nature, yet undeniably luxurious.

In the central living area, the green narrative is more subdued but equally impactful. A muted olive-green sofa anchors the room, set against an otherwise neutral palette. Behind it, a bespoke beige and gold wave-patterned wall serves as a stunning visual centrepiece. The richness of this design is further elevated by black embossed veneer paneling, which adds depth and contrast without overwhelming the space.

Dining & Drawing Spaces

One of the standout innovations in The Jade House lies in its approach to zoning. Instead of using walls or physical dividers, the central area has been subtly segmented into dining and drawing spaces through a unique flooring design. A rich stone called Satvario has been used in combination with a contrasting stone to visually divide the space, resulting in a seamless yet distinct separation of functions. This not only maximizes openness but also adds a unique visual rhythm to the flooring.

Decor Elements

Storage solutions were a key focus in the project, especially in terms of maintaining a clean and clutter-free aesthetic. Concealed storage units have been artfully integrated into the design, appearing as elegant paneling rather than bulky cupboards. These are enhanced with carefully chosen decor elements, ensuring that practicality and aesthetics go hand in hand.

Bar Area

The bar area is the showstopper of the central zone. Rather than opting for conventional cabinetry, the design features three sleek metal shelving panels used to display bottles and barware. Behind this setup, a vibrant wallpaper injects energy and vibrancy into the space, making it an inviting spot for gatherings and conversations.

Kitchen

Spatial continuity is another hallmark of the design. The kitchen, located adjacent to the drawing room, is separated by a sliding glass door.

What makes this transition seamless is the use of a consistent fluting design motif, which travels across the wall from the glass panels to the corridor, even crossing over doors.

This detail ensures visual continuity and helps the walls read as uninterrupted surfaces despite structural separations.

Daughter’s Room

The home also caters beautifully to the needs of a modern family with two children. The daughter’s room follows a soft, peach-toned palette, incorporating ample concealed storage, a dedicated study nook, a dresser, and a compact seating area, all within a modest footprint.

The son’s room, in contrast, embraces cooler tones of grey and navy blue, with playful accessories like cars and themed showpieces subtly reflecting his personality.

The parents’ bedroom embraces a timeless beige palette, highlighted by textural wallpapers and ambient hanging lights, creating a space that feels serene and grounded.

Each bathroom in the house features Italian marble in varying tones. Further, a deliberate design decision ensures every space has its own distinctive identity. Moreover, echoing the larger design narrative of elegance and thoughtful luxury.

The Jade House is not just a home; it is a story of green interiors told through material, colour, and craft. A space that’s been designed not only to look beautiful but to feel like a true reflection of the people who live in it.
