The PepsiCo Hyderabad Office is a Space Full of Possibilities and Wellness | Adrianse India Pvt. Ltd.
The employees and visitors were to be greeted by a welcome area that immerses them in the experience of PepsiCo brands. The welcome experience sets the vibe and initiates the user that will then navigate them to their next destination.
The local context and the unique identity of the people is an integral to the design discovery. It is a multi – sensory experience by having amenities in the main arrival such as the Barista bar, communal space, experience center, meeting rooms and the game zone to create a more welcoming culture.
The staircases are also co – located at the welcome spaces that will connect the journey to the other hub spaces at the other floors. The hub spaces are anchored with refreshments hubs, shared meeting rooms, wellness and these are well curated with meaningful design elements that represent the PepsiCo brand in a very creative way.
According to our lead architect Archie, ‘’We design the work environment by creating a space with a buzz and it is more than just applying the brand logos. We facilitated an environment that is happy, bright, and colourful that promotes a culture of joy and celebration.
Each floor is distinguished with primary and secondary vibrant colours complemented with the selection of PepsiCo graphics. We mapped the people’s journey from the entry point to the inner part of the workspaces. The culture of joy and celebration must be felt once you enter into various spaces. It is a feeling.’’
The branding graphics play a huge role in defining signature PepsiCo workplaces. Graphics come into play in a variety of ways in various spaces through wall art to require building signage.
PepsiCo has hundreds of exciting brands and it is important that employees & customers are aware of all of their brands, which is one of the most critical elements in workplace design.
The journey starts from the lift lobby with the application of large scale branded graphics with backlit panels so it enhances the illumination of the lift lobby space.
Another application is an installation of digital panelling such as the digital fabric panelling at the welcome space integrated in the column that enhances the overall experience.
Having the right balance between the existing determinants of the building core and the tangible attributes of the proposed design elements are having an impact on the overall design approach.
One example of this is optimizing the existing exposed ceiling by providing a layer of ceiling only to key spaces that require high acoustic performance in meeting rooms and other specialized spaces. The forms and clusters of the built rooms are strategically located so it wont block the windows that promote natural lights and views in the general open workspaces.
The middle corridor that connects the two towers is quite dark as well. We have designed an honor market with some interesting design elements such as the LED tunnel that changes the colours while you are traversing the corridor space with branding wall and brick panellings that juxtaposed with some local contexts.
People can also use this space to purchase some PepsiCo products as well. The big columns at the reception area and stairwell are very obtrusive. We have wrapped it with digital panelling to enhance the volume of these columns and at the same time enhance the visual experience of the space.
The existing staircase opening is quite small and we have increased the volume of the visual connection of the hub spaces by increasing the size of the atrium.
The project aligns its design process with sustainability efforts and actively prioritizes the health and wellness of its employees. One of the main principles of the new workplace is putting people first and giving them desk space the best access to daylight.
Vending machines and honor markets are being filled with healthier options. Other amenities such as mother’s rooms, yoga with shower rooms, and wellness/meditation rooms are also being provided.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives have been at the forefront of workplace culture for PepsiCo. Design considerations tailored to neurodivergent individuals are key components of this effort.
Lighting scenarios thoughtfully enhance each space, complementing its specific function and elevating the sensory experience. Open-plan offices minimize noise distractions through tailored elements. Thus, creating acoustically balanced environments that support focus and productivity.
The Pepsico office in Hyderabad is a unique workplace experience and a dynamic environment with full potential. Arrival spaces feature exciting amenities, including a large arrival platform that welcomes both guests and employees. In turn, this showcases the vibrant culture of PepsiCo.
It links to the adjacent spaces of the main Cafeteria, Experience Center, and Communal Zone. The designers created vertical staircases that connect all of the Hub Spaces and the Cafeteria. It creates a visual impact upon the arrival.
