There are homes, and then there is Aurum – a modern luxurious home where luxury does not announce itself with grandiosity but lingers in the air, murmuring its presence in every fine detail. A vision born in Dubai yet rooted in Ahmedabad, this residence is an ode to refined indulgence, seamlessly blending the modern opulence of Arab-Mediterranean coasts with the warmth of an Indian embrace.
For a real estate developer accustomed to Dubai’s splendour, the challenge was never about amassing grandeur but sculpting a space where luxury feels effortless. No sharp edges, no ostentation – just a measured cadence of design where every curve, material and finish holds purpose.
Editor’s Note: Aurum is not merely a home but a gentle sonnet of modern luxury, where elegance lingers in quiet corners and design speaks in refined whispers. Rooted in restraint yet rich in feeling, it offers a living experience that is as emotive as it is effortlessly exquisite. ~Isha Bora
Aurum Stands As A Modern Luxurious Home Rooted In Global Influence | Space Karma Design Studio
No chandeliers clamouring for attention – only design that speaks in hushed, deliberate tones. This is a silent luxury. Modern luxury. Just design with intent, elegance with a knowing smirk. A singular crimson-hued throne punctuates a sea of hushed beiges – like a single, defiant stroke.
Ah, the eternal conundrum – how does one create division without disruption? The answer, dear reader, lies in a design both clever and considered.
What began as a simple floor-to-ceiling unit evolved over time. As a result, it became something far more refined – a structure that holds more than just a television. With a hollowed core, it preserves the airy elegance of the space. As a result, the living and dining areas remain visually entwined.
And the pièce de résistance? The TV, a master of adaptability, swivels with effortless grace – entertaining whether one is reclining in leisure or dining in delight.
The walls, oh, the walls – adorned with lights so artfully disguised as pebbled artefacts that by day, they pose as sculptural relics, but come nightfall, they stir to life – casting a quiet glow, not just to illuminate but to enchant. A space that doesn’t just exist but breathes – wrapped in light, touched by art and designed for the soul.
Upon entering the grand living space, one is met with a conundrum – six doors, each leading to a different story. The predictable choice? To camouflage them, letting them dissolve into the walls. But predictability, dear reader, is not the language of luxury. Instead, these doors were elevated into statement pieces – clad in PVD-coated gold-finished stainless steel, each one a gleaming ode to opulence. They do not whisper; they do not hide. They stand in quiet confidence, weaving the home’s golden thread of brass and subtle shimmer into a harmonious whole.
And so, the dining space remains unembellished, its wooden table and chairs standing with graceful restraint – four legs, no flourishes, no fuss. For when the walls themselves make conversation, the furniture need only listen. An open layout, awash in light and air, completes the scene – proof that true luxury knows when to be bold and when to simply be.
Here, the wall is not just a structure – it is a story etched in earth. A rammed-earth-textured feature commands quiet admiration, balanced by muted tones, brass accents and a deep blue chair that punctuates the space. Light streams in generously, accentuating a design that endures beyond trends.
A space where function takes a step back, allowing the statement to take centre stage. What was once a servant’s quarter has been reimagined as a floor-to-ceiling glass walk-in wardrobe, standing with quiet confidence.
A plush lounge replaces conventional wardrobe space, transforming the room into a retreat for repose and conversation. A golden-polished, gridded partition adds a sculptural dimension, subtly separating while amplifying the home’s understated luxury.
Here, simplicity is a mastery of restraint. A custom-printed wallpaper – an ode to India’s flora and fauna flourishes behind the bed, a delicate tribute to cultural roots.
Wardrobes, graced with tan leather and softened curves, exude serene sophistication, where heritage and modernity blend in a whisper, never a shout.
Atithi Devo Bhava – where guests are received not as visitors, but as kin. This philosophy takes shape in a room that exudes graceful hospitality. A bespoke wardrobe blends into a palette of soft hues, bathed in golden-hour light that plays upon wooden textures, welcoming every soul with warmth and timeless ease.
Some houses are built; others are composed. Aurum is the latter – a space where two generations converge, where the past converses with the present, and where luxury finds its truest form in effortless living. Here, design does not demand attention; it exists in quiet confidence.
In designing Aurum, we did not simply craft a house – we sculpted a story, gilded in memory and woven with whispers of gold.
