This Modern Contemporary Home Design Makes Every Element A Masterpiece | Designer’s Circle
The focal point of the drawing room is the striking wall art at the centre of the room. It features intricately painted cranes in flight. This bold choice of textured piece adds depth and visual appeal. Additionally, it stands out beautifully against the soft, neutral tones that dominate the room’s atmosphere.
This piece of artwork shows a harmonious balance between bold and subtle expressions, desiring the essence of dynamism. The arrangement of furniture presents a feast of comfort and conversation with plush, generously sized seating with velvety fabrics that really invite one to sit back.
Clean-lined seating paired with metallic accents on side tables gives the space contemporary flair while ensuring the space remains modern yet timeless. Moreover, the drawing room transitions seamlessly into the kitchen and dining areas. Thus, allowing for easy movement and maintaining a sense of openness.
The focal point of the dining is the dark marble table, polished to perfection. The huge sliding windows allow enough natural light into the space, making the space feel calm and airy. The contemporary chandelier with translucent forms and sculptural rings is not only to light the space but is also a piece of art. However, it adds visual interest to the viewers.
The living room is where the circular rug in soft, textured fabric anchors the room, adding warmth to the sleek marble floors that lie beneath. The low-slung, cushioned ottomans at the center of the room provide versatile seating options, complementing the deep-hued sectional sofa that creates a sense of calmness.
The powder bathroom is a design triumph, serving as a climactic moment of the house’s journey. Here, the walls act as a canvas where abstractly placed mosaic tiles in earthy browns, ivory, and grey with a tint of white create a dynamic and visual rhythm. The art by itself makes a fluid-flowing expression. The annular wash basin in a bleak and irregularly shaped hexagonal mirror with a bronze finish, together with other elements. Moreover, it creates a visually dynamic and engaging space.
The modern-style staircase looks super luxurious and architecturally clever as the grey slabs seem to be floating. However, the staircase is a real showstopper. The cantilevered design with no visible support makes it look weightless and blends in with the modern surroundings. A glass balustrade with metal handrails adds to the open feel, reflects the light, and makes the room feel bigger.
The sculpture installation at the base is the focal point. The two human figures sitting back to back add an element of mystery and art to the clean lines of the staircase. The sculpture is set on a pebble base, which contrasts beautifully with the marble floor, which shows a rich balance of organic and man-made textures. The big windows allow an abundance of natural light to fall into the space in an absolutely beautiful manner. Moreover, it plays off the different materials, the reflective marble floor, and the matte sculpture, creating a nice play of shadows and light.
Ascending to the first floor, one finds that the design language of the ground floor continues. Thus, ensuring the sense of continuity throughout the house. This floor comprises the family lounge, study area, son’s bedroom, and master bedroom.
While the entire house follows neutral hues, a sublime addition to this floor is the powder room. The upper half immediately commands attention; it is an oversized botanical wallpaper with colossal green and reddish-brown leaves, creating a sharp impact on the walls. This bold look turns into a masterpiece when aligned against the pewter marble, which is the lower half of the room flowing all the way down to the floor.
Moving upwards, the second floor of the bungalow, with a comprehensive lounge area with an apt informal seating which is capacious for family gatherings and clique.
Entering the room, one can do nothing but impose their focus on the green hued tiled floor with dusky furniture with a touch of gold that cajole the overall space.
Adding to the experience is the customized poker table and chairs, with a quote “TILL DEATH DO US PARTY”, on the wall next to it, gives the impression that the family loves any reason to hold a soirée.
This contemporary bungalow reflects the balance that exists in art, design and interiors. Each and every feature of the house such as the entrance, the floating staircase and even the artistic elements in all the rooms are strategically catered to give a touch of luxury and calmness to the place. Marble, metal and natural materials are also tastefully integrated in design, ensuring this family home is not only a dwelling, but a work of art in itself.
