This Modern Rustic Interior Design Is The Perfect Blend Of Raw And Refined | SK Design Studio
The living area celebrates materiality and traditional Indian design principles through a wide use of patterns and colours. An exposed brick wall serves as the background for the L-shaped sofa facing the television unit.
Complementing the sofa is a coffee table with a circular glass top and wooden base. As your eyes move around the space, you’ll spot an extensive array of stone finishes adorning the living area.
The use of wooden rafters on the ceiling further adds to the industrial aesthetic of the room with its elaborate texture and colour gradients.
Adjacent to the seating area is a compact, stylish bar with a wooden countertop and barstools that doubles as a breakfast counter.
An overhead open shelf made in metal framing provides a minimalistic contrast to the overall aesthetic of the space.
These shelves are smartly decorated with various artifacts and decor pieces, adding personality and warmth to the room. Adjoining the countertop is a vertically planned pooja unit finished in wood and laminate, equipped with storage at the bottom.
The kitchen is planned as a semi-open space, abutting the living area. Its cabinetry is finished in deep wooden hues, complemented with white natural stone textures, grey laminates, and glass to achieve a sense of modernity.
Walking into the master bedroom, you see an interplay of neutral colours and subtle patterns. The most eye-catching element of the room is the bedhead wall accented with rustic contoured natural stone cladding.
The subtle lighting accentuates the wall’s texture, giving it a soft, inviting glow. This adds an element of luxury and style thereby breaking through the monotony of the pastel colours.
Beside the bed, a sleek wooden shelf unit provides both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The shelves are top-lit and accommodate a Buddha statue and potted plants, introducing a touch of spirituality and greenery to the room.
A modern, clean-lined wooden cabinet integrates a flat-screen TV, forming the entertainment wall opposite the bed. The cabinetry, with its mix of open and closed shelving, displays sculptures and provides ample storage, maintaining a clutter-free environment. The strategic placement of spotlights enhances the visual appeal of this feature, making it a prominent aspect of the room.
Shades of blue and grey embellish the kid’s bedroom, while an exposed brick accent wall adds dynamism to the space. The bedhead panel holds a note titled “pearls of wisdom”, a message from the parents to their kid.
Further, the room includes a study table with overhead storage cabinets to enhance the utility of the space. Another focus element of the room is a custom wallpaper reflecting the kid’s passion for cricket.
All in all, the home embraces a sense of originality and a rejuvenating vibe that makes the home all the more comforting.
