This Minimal Modern Interior Design Embodies a Sense of Belonging | SAVVYLINES

Beyond bricks and mortar, the minimal modern interior design of this home embodies a sense of belonging, a space to express your truest self, and a haven filled with loved ones. This Vadodara residence, designed by Savvylines’ artistic duo, Kinjal Shah and Smit Patel, beautifully exemplifies this concept.

The clients, seeking a balance between elegance and practicality, desired a minimalist space with clean lines and a calming color scheme of blues, greys, and whites. “Their brief was all we needed,” says Ms. Shah.

Upon entering, a traditional pichwai artwork of Lord Shrinathji nestled in a graceful alcove sets the tone for positive energy.

The living area unfolds as a captivating interplay of straight lines and soft curves. One wall boasts a contemporary checkered pattern, while the other features a mesmerising dance of arches, circles, and linear accents.

This counterpoint extends to the furniture – the TV unit’s straight lines are softened by the circular nesting tables and coffee table, while the blue sectional sofa finds balance with playful round pouffes. Here, the minimalist design achieves a sophisticated harmony.

Flowing seamlessly from the living area, the dining space echoes its color and design language. The blue upholstery of the chairs complements the sofa, while the dining table’s marble top and the oblong partition showcase a delightful fusion of straight and curved forms.

This unique partition offers privacy while doubling as a charming display for houseplants, adding a touch of life to the space.

Continuing the open-plan concept, the spacious kitchen caters to culinary enthusiasts. Ample storage solutions abound in the form of modular drawers, cabinets, and open shelves, complemented by fluted glass cabinets for a touch of elegance. The calming grey backsplash ensures a clean and functional cooking area.

Master bedroom

The master bedroom is a tranquil haven in shades of grey, beige, and brown. Here, functionality meets chic design, with furniture elevated on delicate legs, creating a sense of airiness.

The extended headboard evokes a panelled wall, while two vibrant circular frames showcasing birds add a burst of colour.

The bedside tables introduce a whimsical touch, and the contrasting colors of the closets on opposite walls complete the room’s playful character.

Girl’s room

In contrast, the little girl’s room is a whimsical fairytale come to life. Playful wallpaper and fluffy cloud-shaped fixtures suspended from the ceiling create a dreamlike ambiance. Shades of pink, the young resident’s favorite, dominate the space.

The box bed and matching suspended headboard in a deeper pink contrast beautifully with the lighter pink accents on the wardrobe and study unit.

A circular mirror with a floating drawer beneath it serves as a perfect vanity spot. The wardrobe’s tinted glass cabinets and low drawers allow for easy access to her belongings.

“A clear vision from the client streamlines the design process,” concludes Mr. Patel. “We translated their desires and dreams into a space that reflects their personality. Witnessing their delight is the ultimate reward, and this project, though demanding, has been immensely fulfilling.”
