The bungalow house welcome you with explicit whites the moment you step inside the ground floor. The brightly lit lobby with some black accents and geometric patterns gives a very systematic organic entry into the abode of the residents. With the car parked below, we proceed towards the first floor, which houses the public areas predominantly.
The Bungalow House Welcome You With Explicit Whites | Nitin Bagani Architects
The stark division of public and private spaces across floors helps in maintaining the privacy of the residents.
A cozy entrance atop the staircase greets us, leading into the living room. Patterned walls and paneling on all sides compose the pleasant space.
The highlight is the TV wall with geometric paneling behind and a sleek furniture unit in front with dashes of golden shelves and lines alongside.
The seating arrangement of this bungalow house is a decent L-shape that balances out the lighter TV wall in spatial geometry. Keeping all surfaces white accentuates the spaciousness of the living room, while contrast is added through fabrics and movable furniture.
Through the glass patterned partition, we get a glimpse of the dining area and kitchen behind. The best part is that the partition, when in place segregates the first floor completely. It stands in line with the staircase which acts as the nucleus of the house, thus offering vertical connectivity to the spaces.
The kitchen platform along with the breakfast table provide a clear cooking and working area. This is very well complemented by the vertical storage units. The continuation of the white, but adding the darker blue to the trolleys, gives weight to the kitchen area.
An elegant dining table and chair set captures the focus. The slight beige does adds softness to the otherwise sleek and clean kitchen area. The bright ambient lights add an amazing volume to the overall space.
Pulling the glass partition seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen. This fosters visual and physical connectivity between them, compelling one to be part of a larger volume.
Right in front of the staircase, the devghar blends in perfectly with the entire ambiance. Indeed, a decluttered, minimal, but extremely cozy ambiance for family lunches and dinners!
The lower floor has just one bedroom tucked in the corner of the layout juxtaposed to the dining area. A very compact room with a foldable bed retreating into the wall paneling, thus making the space bigger whenever required and turning the bed into a sofa for people to just sit and relax during other times.
The wooden and beige color combination adds warmth to the room, a feature not observed elsewhere on the floor. Some dashes of gray and blue fabrics further enhance the coziness of the space.
Climbing further upstairs, the second floor entirely consists of bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a hint of gray in the wall paneling and the upholstery, looks commanding and all-encompassing.
With a little bit of golden, the touch of elegance gets highlighted, which complements the flooring very well.
Whereas the other bedroom, with its décor concept being black, looks intimidating and dark. With all the furniture tucked along the walls, the rooms feel capacious.
Additionally, because of the French doors, there is plenty of natural light coming in, thus making the room fresh and light.
The combination of light coloured furniture with the darker paneling adds a good balance to the room, the wooden floor underneath provides a sturdy background for the ambiance.
The indoor plants give the living space a fresh outlook and serve as an ideal place for relaxing and enjoying a light chat towards the end of the day!
The third bedroom is designed in a neutral shade of beige, with the popped-up blue bed in the center.
The light trickle of fabrics and textures in this room blend beautifully with each other, thus giving the bedroom a poignant ambiance.
Artificial lights, decorative pendants, and desk lamps add quirkiness to the interior styling of the rooms. The choice of fabrics follows a similar color palette, thus accentuating the ambiance even further.
After exploring the second floor, we proceed to the lift and staircase lobby to ascend further upstairs. The third floor houses a nice terrace sit-out and a garden and a movie room lovingly titled Cinema.
Plush and neutral, the room is paneled with gray acoustic upholstery transforming the space into a cozy hideout for one and all to enjoy movies together.
The other half of the floor is an interesting assortment of textures like grass, stone, wood, plants that enhance the space and exudes a sense of liveliness to the ambiance.
A small coffee table with chairs perched onto the lawn here is a perfect space to sit and relax after a long tiring day.
After taking a tour through all the spaces, we can conclude that the bungalow house beautifully exudes a contemporary type of design, a seamless circulation space and a collection of cozy and comfortable rooms.
Perfectly capable of generating a spacious ambiance for people to enjoy and experience. The rooms are highly functional. What enhances the spaces further is the use of a minimal color palette of browns, whites, and greys with pop ups of cooler coloured upholstery colors and a minimum number of patterns. As stated earlier, the use of white dominates the entire design, thus giving it a harmonious and spacious look. Clean and refined edges make the design neat, simple and crisp, thus accentuating the contemporarinety of the overall planning concept.
