  • Monochrome interiors that Spark a Flame of Inspiring Thought | MS Design Studio

Though only for a show flat, MS Design Studio have created wonders in their understanding of monochrome interiors.

Creating a budget-friendly and aesthetically pleasing show flat firstly involves a thoughtful combination of practicality, creativity, and cost-effective design choices. Here’s a show flat design that balances both aspects with an affinity for monochrome interiors.

Editor’s Note: MS Design Studio’s budget-friendly interior project in Vadodara has a classy balance of lines and curves. The arched wall niches glow softly, like a warm, burning candle on a cold night. The tints of pitch black, which outline the organic mirrors and a part of the bold striped rug, break the monotone without using bright colours and add persona to the design. – Gopika Pramod

    The entrance and living room

At the entrance of the home, we step into a contemporary style living room with an aesthetic touch. It evidently involves a neutral color palette (shades of white, grey, beige and brown) and different forms, textures and materials.

The front wall has the composition of niches in designed arches, and a feature wall with a striking wall-art. Furthermore, a wall cladded with fluted panels provides a clean and timeless backdrop.

    Dining area and kitchen

As we move from the living room, we enter to the dining area which has organic mirror as its backdrop along with the hanging light, certainly provides an ambience to the space.

To the left of the dining is kitchen and to the right is an accent wall which have a console designed in a contemporary style, above it is macramé hanging.

    Parent’s bedroom

Additionally, when transitioning to the Parent’s bedroom, we aimed to defy conventions by infusing the space with an artistic, modern touch. The room further embraces a blend of neutral tones and a minimalistic approach. A key focal point is the bed back, designed as a captivating art piece. This element not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also prioritizes the comfort of the elderly, incorporating cushioned fabric.

Positioned against a wall with a cement finish laminate featuring grooving design, the bed back conceals a hidden door opening toward the washroom. The laminate on the wall complements the wooden flooring, while a pastel blue and white combination in the wardrobe introduces a refreshing contrast to the space, breaking the monotony.

    Master bedroom

Moreover, the master bedroom is crafted to evoke a cozy and sophisticated ambiance. Upon entering the room, attention is drawn to the fluted wall finished in charcoal sheet. The design conceals the door leading to the washroom, while a strategically placed mirror on the same wall introduces a refreshing break in the monotony.

The bed back wall features a cement finish texture with a grooving pattern in a subtle grey hue. The concept revolves around creating a monochrome palette for the room, with a striking contrast introduced through a vibrant painting in bright colors. Moreover, the use of bamboo glass in the wardrobe adds an element of elegance, contributing to the room’s sleek and refined appearance.

    Kid’s bedroom

Continuing ahead, we ventured into the kid’s bedroom, requiring an innovative approach that emphasizes fun, comfort, and safety. Utilizing pastel hues to evoke a lively ambiance, we considered themes aligned with the child’s interests, such as incorporating animal-printed fabric on wardrobe shutters and wallpaper. The integration of a bunk bed, accompanied by ample storage drawers and a study placed beneath the bed, forms a space promoting organization and offering a dedicated area for learning and creativity.

The key objective is to basically harmonize functionality with a spirited and personalized design, ensuring the room becomes a source of enjoyment for the child. Prioritizing the child’s safety, a robust bunk bed design with upper bunk guardrails is carefully chosen. Also we endeavored to design a playful ceiling using various shapes of profile lights.
