In this modern bungalow, we created a spacious living room area that seamlessly connects to the outdoors through a full-length glazing on one side.

The translucent curtains and the matte walls with grooves adds to the vertical experience of the space.
This living room with the tall volume is layered with differently sized rectangular spaces that brings the depth to the area. The stairway behind, the multiple circular openings in the wall, visibility of the upper level passage, adds more graphic complexity to the room.
Material Palette : A staircase on the side, adds to the visual depth. Wood, Metal and Concrete governs the material palette here. While concrete texture binds the room’s volume together from two opposing sides, wooden-accents and warm colours ans texture adds the softness.
The warmth of wood, juxtaposed with the concrete textured wall, creates a balance overall. These warm colours along with the tan coloured sofa accents work to make this double heighted room an inviting space.
