To overcome the low (6.5 ft.) height of the ceiling on both levels, which was the biggest challenge faced, a number of vertical elements were introduced throughout the store. Carefully curated elements like the racks, the wooden beading and large mirrors all contribute to the illusion of the ceiling being much taller.

Clean lines define the display areas, where clothing is showcased on floor to ceiling racks that end in wallpapered arches of different types, seamlessly integrating modern prints with traditional elements just like their merchandise.

The color palette is kept to pastel shades of blues and greens with the occasional pop of the color pink inspired from the logo which can be seen in the wallpaper and the on the cash counter. All furniture and fabrication work were carried out in house by local vendors.

Deconstructed arches in the staircase railing and the display shelves mirror Jaipur’s rich history of metalwork, while their gold powder coating adds elegance and sophistication to the entire space.

The store exterior features a sleek façade with a minimalist color palette while the arched signage is designed to reflect an abstract version of the skyline of the city of Jaipur.

The store front, being visible from one of the busiest streets of Margao had to have an eye-catching design and this was achieved by incorporating backlighting into the arches to give it that warm glow.

By using the space below a staircase for back stock storage with a seamlessly hidden door we were able to maximize space and maintain a clean and integrated design with the wooden beading. This element was also carried onto the trail rooms to achieve a more cohesive look.

Finally, the client played a pivotal role in bringing the design to life. Their decisiveness and valuable input from the get go, backed by years of experience in the retail industry, made the design-to-execution process seamless.

Come experience the allure of tradition woven into the fabric of contemporary design at Jaipur Dairies.
