Editor’s Note: “Once again, a captivating Scandi-themed residence has graced your screens!
This increasingly popular style has unmistakably taken root in Indian interior design, and the reasons behind its allure are crystal clear. Imagine monochrome-hued sofas and armchairs elegantly poised on a lively carpet, complemented by warm walnut casings that gracefully frame openings and nooks. This juxtaposition of contemporary furnishings amidst a beloved aesthetic exemplifies charm. The bedrooms, each uniquely crafted, boast captivating wallpapers that harmoniously meld hues and design, striking a harmonious equilibrium. Undoubtedly, a sanctuary of relaxation!” ~ Venessa Thomas (Co-Editor)

In the main livingdining room, we have used pastels, whites and a fair amount of light oak and walnut on partitions and furniture.

We have given each bedroom its own unique look. Bedroom 1 has a backlit wall panelling made out of old panelled wardrobe shutters at  site.

In bedroom 2, we have created a strong contrast by using a very dark wallpaper which has foliage in an interesting design on the main feature wall. The upholstery is a contrasting blush pink.

The main master bedroom has a projecting wall with a neutral toned wallpaper. This wall houses a a small niche above the bed.

We have played with asymmetry in this room as we had to deal with a beam  which divided the room’s ceiling in a strange way.

We have used light beiges in 2 shades on most of the walls in the home. These colours can sometimes appear too boring and monotonous and hence we have balanced the subtle colour tones by using contemporary wallpapers on accent walls. We have also used pastel tones of mint, yellow, blue and lilac on upholstery.
