We wanted the customers to shift their regular perspective to more designed spaces in specific styles. The Builder’s brief was to provide modern and luxurious interiors that are very functional and give a mid-century aesthetic look. On the other hand, we wanted to make a mark by influencing the mob market in Hyderabad by introducing designer home interiors that are largely accepted and appreciated by their customers who walk in to purchase the flats in their upcoming apartment project. We hope that this initiative would give a direction to the end user to pick different personalized styles with the designers, unlike how mob psychology works in a rote manner. I hope we managed the look we aspired to deliver.
Modern and Luxurious Interiors that are Very Functional and give a Mid-Century Aesthetic Look | KalaaZodh Architecture

We have a specific colour play that’s in pastels for painted and texture-plastered walls to give a lighter mid-century vibe. While the furniture and decor have a mix of solid colours/ patterns to enhance the luxury side.
The entrance foyer/drawing room. We wanted to create a studio look and a wow factor with a play of colours on walls, furniture, and decor through different materials balancing one another. The Mid-century modern theme speaks loud here.
The tripod brass lamp stand, The ochre yellow sofas with the brass, the marble centerpiece, and the fluted partition in sleek lines allows some depth and privacy to the space, not to miss the hand-woven rug with a bold black and white geometric pattern, the teak wood and marble top console, the fluted marble cladding on walls with simple teak beading lines, the tropical wall arts, the sage green textured wall. every element here adds to the look of how this space is shaped.
In the realm of interiors, we see a lot of panelling work regularly. But, in our ideology of design, we try to minimize the areas that are cladded in the woodwork to simple clean lines of beading or statement pieces.
This somewhat reduces the impact of wood/laminates/polishes usage that also creates “VOC’s – volatile organic compounds” that is unhealthy for end users in air quality.
We rather used fluted marble, texture-painted walls, and wallpaper that are aesthetic and less polluting. The usage of the right indoor tropical plants also ensures the indoor air quality plus maintains the tropical theme intact.
The elements of design are continued by passing on the colours/ textures/patterns/ materials from one room to another in different forms of design.
