Editor’s note : A mixture of modern and classical styles sweeps this house in tranquil harmony. Its white-toned interiors blend the two styles synonymously, giving way to vibrant prints in the bedrooms and neoclassical wainscotting in the living space. The parametric design adorning the wall in the main family lounge may be intriguing but fails to cohesively blend into the entirety of the project. ~ Venessa Thomas (Co-Editor)

Stepping in the living room on the lower floor which is a perfect blend of pastel colours with the handcrafted Roman style carved panels and the classic furniture which all together create an elegant aura. The most crucial part of the living room is the 10 ft wide attached balcony at the north side which is provided for sit-out and acts as a main source of light which covers 75% of the living room. An affluent sofa set is imported from a Dubai-based company was added for a luxurious look to the living. A louvred angular partition which is covered with mahogany veneer is placed between living and dining to create a partial visual connectivity. Lastly, the entire living room was finished with duco paint and with ice-grey Italian marble flooring.

Moving towards the kitchen and dining area. firstly, the entire kitchen is concocted with Nano white marble and walnut veneer which creates an arctic environment and gives a refreshing start to the day. Lights are placed randomly on Also to avoid blockage and to show connectivity open breakfast counter is provided in between the kitchen and dining, to add depth to the space in the breakfast table a designer mirror is added. An alluring onyx-finished dining table was positioned exactly next to the informal seating with contrasting leather-finished chairs.

Here comes the most grandeur master bedroom in which the most luxuriant element is the wallpaper by Sabyasachi which draws everyone’s attention and is choosed to maintain the neo-classical touch and is highlighted brilliantly by keeping the rest of the room simple and sober.

The furniture is imitated with a fluted patterned design with pastel colour and also in contradiction with the wallpaper. There is a window placed on the north-east side to give pleasant light throughout the day with minimal curtains having nano white sill which creates a cooling aura and seating was embedded with the window beside which a designer couch was placed to.

Also, the window seating is placed in such a way that gives an unobstructed view of the dining.

Entering in the upper floor which is crowned in a modern design theme in which every room is designed and furnished with a certain colour family which makes it extraordinary and splendid. Talking about the living room it is entirely adorned with a green colour family in contrast with walnut veneer, where the panels are designed in pastel colour with box motif engraved. Continuation to this a partition was placed with a similar box pattern in which boxes were perforated to give a visual connectivity between living and dining. Another partition was placed to avoid disturbance in the living room and creates a direct passage to dining and kitchen and bedrooms without entering the living room.

Moving towards the kitchen and dining area it was furnished in different traits of teal blue colour, designer panels affixed with designer tile with the black tinted glass within the small niches. A wheatish jute colour sofa is placed to break the monotony of the colour. a combination of sofa and east-facing window seating is designed as informal seating for the family.

Moving further, the minimalistic design of the parent’s bedroom, a simple and elegant design with a combination of veneer with black tinted glass on the back wall also with the cream leathered backrest. the colours used are very subtle, and it is designed in such a way that it is easy to maintain.

A cosy corner in the bedroom was implemented to sit and have a pleasant view through the northeast window.

The daughter’s bedroom belongs to a teenage girl who loves art. keeping this in mind the room was intentionally brushed with pink colour and one wall was kept empty so that the girl can showcase her paintings. To give a feminine touch a fourposter bed was provided in the room also The girl being a nature lover we have insisted a tropical wallpaper.

A communal family lounge which was accessible for both floors was designed in such a manner that it provides you with a different frame of mind than the other 2 floors and perks up your mood and makes the moment more cheerful. A parametric design was implemented in the family lounge which is the main reason for the beauty in the ambience. The flooring is kept in Alaska grey marble and the sofa is placed in grey colour which is contrary to the white colour of the parametric design. Profile lights were embedded in parametric curves which enumerates the curves in which hanging lights in delicate shapes of butterflies were placed to make it more beautiful.
