Weekend Home Has A Neutral Palette And Natural Wood Accents | Afshan Bagwan Interior Design Studio
This 3,000 square foot Weekend Home emerges as a harmonious fusion of rustic countryside charm and understated minimalism, tailored specifically for a dynamic young family with a penchant for travel and a desire to retreat from the urban frenzy.
The architectural vision for Inner Circle was to craft a space that not only serves as a weekend sanctuary but also embodies the essence of a serene haven, seamlessly blending with the verdant landscape of Alibaug. The design ethos anchors to a palette of soothing neutrals, punctuated by the warmth of natural wood accents, creating an atmosphere
Upon entering, one is greeted by a living space that exudes a sense of welcome and comfort. The choice of English roll arm sofas, set against the backdrop of a rustic wooden coffee table, creates an inviting area for relaxation and social gatherings. This is complemented by a large jute rug, adding texture and grounding the space with its earthy tones.
The dining area, a jewel beneath a soaring double-height ceiling, basks in the glow of natural light streaming through expansive windows. These windows not only frame the lush greenery outside but also enhance the spatial quality of the interior.
The dining setup, featuring a round table with a glass top and a wooden spiral base, mirrors the elegance of the adjacent spiral staircase.
This architectural feature, with its teak wood steps illuminated by subtle lighting and textured side panels, exudes a timeless grace.
The integration of the client’s cherished antique furniture collection with bespoke pieces adds layers of history and personality to the home. Notably, the guest bedroom showcases an antique wooden desk taking center stage, surrounded by wood and cane furniture.
The interplay of black metal wall lamps and monochromatic art infuses the room with a character that is both inviting and conducive to contemplation.
In adherence to a minimalist design ethos, the Master bedroom elegantly accommodates a master bed crafted from wood and cane, complemented by a chest of drawers and an exquisitely refurbished antique wardrobe.
The room is further enhanced by tastefully designed handmade jute wall lamps positioned on either side of the bed, serving to illuminate and elevate the room’s ambiance.
The master washroom, rendered in soothing tones of gray and accented with wood, boasts built-in storage featuring glass sliding doors reminiscent of a sophisticated walk-in closet.
Additionally, a generously sized mirror and a contemporary bath cubicle contribute to the washroom’s luxurious feel.
At the heart of the home’s design philosophy lies the thoughtful incorporation of natural materials such as wood, cane, and stone, harmoniously paired with textiles like linen and cotton. Handcrafted details, like the bespoke lamps that adorn the walls, resonate with the home’s countryside inspiration, adding a layer of artisanal charm.
This deliberate choice of materials not only augments the home’s aesthetic charm but also infuses it with a palpable sense of warmth and tactile comfort, ensuring that every space within the home resonates with a welcoming and serene atmosphere. These thoughtful touches ensure that the holiday home_Inner Circle stands as a beacon of relaxed sophistication and timeless design, offering a retreat that is both a reflection of its owners’ journeys and a canvas for creating new memories.
