Nestled in the prestigious Vesu area of Surat, ‘A Collaborative office’, a 1,725 sq ft travel office space epitomizes the perfect amalgamation of modern design and functional sophistication, tailored to meet the discerning needs of a tourism-based office. Its layout is carefully crafted to enhance openness, collaboration and engaging workspace. Since the company is service based, its design responds to both the visitors and staff. The brief of this travel office is to accommodate a reception area, theatre (15 persons), 2 cabins, 1 conference room, informal gathering space, open workspace counters, focused workspace and a pantry.

The reception area serves as a first point of contact, reflecting firms’ philosophy and brand value with impeccable elegance. Use of full height glass partition and marble finish fluted charcoal panels elevates the logo, making a strong impression In front of clients and visitors. Jute rug adds texture and warmth creating a welcoming environment. The washroom and pantry areas are designed with the same level of detail, ensuring every aspect of the office reflects the company’s commitment to quality and excellence.
The 22-feet long artwork, curated to inspire customers to travel the world, is the highlight of this open workspace. It also adds hues of mustard making the whole ambience very vibrant and welcoming. This also breaks the monotony of modular furniture.
The overall space was very linear about 25’ feet wide and 70 feet deep and 12’ high with the only source of light one end and main entrance on one end of the shorter side. Thus, with the aim of capturing maximum natural light; zones were planned with a small reception at the entrance, further the passage leads to counters on left side and the theatre on right with pantry as that required insulation and no light, furthermore the passage leads to focused work space on left side cabins on the right side. Lastly, the passage culminates to a conference room and an informal meeting area cum breakout space on the right.
The workspace includes two types of island tables with different purpose. One with island tables for customer interaction and another with focused workstations for staff, offering ample storage.
A key highlight of this project is the carefully curated palette and colour tones. Beige and grey hues, achieved through the use of wooden flooring, skirting, and veneer walls, infuse the space with warmth, perfectly balancing the formal office setting. The inclusion of mustard and teal blue accents brings a refreshing vibrancy, while the combination of fluted panels, textures, fluted glass, and black fittings throughout the space adds depth and sophistication, creating a cohesive and polished look for a modern office.
A very minimal and formal conference room was designed with a glass partition allowing natural light to seep in. Here the floor is highlighted with wooden flooring to give a formal feel to the otherwise simple open room.
With a floor height of 12ft. the theater engages for client presentations and staff training, with a large store above. The store was made accessible from the pantry and outside open workspace. Also, the applied acoustic treatment using glass wool on the outside of the partition and fabric on the walls. The floor was treated with wooden planks. The wooden tone also matches seamlessly with the collapsible chairs, which add a pop of blue to the space. Meticulously planned the lighting over the walls and ceiling, enhancing the inviting and memorable experience for visitors.
The plan of this two cabins has simple minimalistic interiors and the wooden floor. The glass partitions allows transparency and natural light to enter the cabins. Furthermore, the highlighting element to these spaces is the splash of aqua blue at the backdrop walls and common partition.
This is our personal favorite corner of the entire office. With effective design, the space turns into a closed informal meeting room. Furthermore, the open glass partition doubles up with the breakout space to become a large space.
The space also includes a TV screen, closed and open storage for souvenirs and books, creating a relaxing indoor environment. Additionally, the sofa seating and loose poufs enhance the space, making it a relaxing, collaborative, and vibrant environment.
