The client was very keen on using subtle colours with lots of sunlight. This gave birth to a transitional-style interior design with an open-plan layout where the kitchen, dining, living, and entertainment rooms make one huge single space with private sleeping areas surrounding this. The heart of the house is a dining/breakfast counter that has an induction cooktop and ceiling-hung chimney integrated appliances with ample space for cooking and gathering. It is designed for both functionality and entertainment, providing the inhabitants ample room to entertain guests. The large windows on both sides of the unit make it a bright and airy space, just as the clients envisioned.

The entrance foyer sets the tone with patterned flooring using onyx and black marble, leading into the tranquil living area. The soft, neutral palette creates a calming backdrop for a collection of cherished objects. The intricately carved credenza serves as the central focal point, drawing the eye with its detailed geometric patterns. The light, distressed finish of the wood adds a touch of rustic elegance while maintaining a sense of airiness. The placement of larger plants on the floor flanking the credenza creates a sense of framing. Additionally, it adds a touch of greenery at eye level. The varying heights of the plants add visual depth and interest.
There’s an undeniable artistic spirit that permeates this living room, a sense of curated eclecticism that speaks of a life well-lived. The plush sectional, with its inviting texture and generous proportions, anchors the space. Meanwhile, the intricately carved sideboard adds a touch of vintage charm. The floor, featuring a black and white checkered pattern, adds a touch of classic retro style to the modern space and grounds the space with an earthy elegance. Plants, both large and small, punctuate the room with bursts of organic energy, softening the clean lines of the architecture.
In the corner, bathed in the ethereal light filtering in from the balcony, a piano and a cluster of guitars stand ready. Moreover, they serve as a testament to the homeowner’s passion for music. They are not merely decorative objects but instruments of expression, waiting to be brought to life. This is a room designed for both grand gatherings and intimate moments, a sanctuary where art, music, and conversation intertwine.
Dive into the chiaroscuro of this space, where the inky embrace of matt charcoal cabinetry yields to the luminous expanse of a marble-clad island. The onyx and black marble patterned floor, cool and smooth, offers a stark counterpoint, its veins a delicate tracery against the somber backdrop. Above, the ceiling’s slatted panels add another layer of visual interest, a subtle play of light and shadow. The pendant, a gleaming dome, acts as a focal point, its reflective surface mirroring the understated elegance of the scene.
The seating, simple yet sculptural, echoes the clean lines of the cabinetry, reinforcing the overall sense of restrained sophistication. A black-framed glass partition separates the dry kitchen from the utility and wet kitchen, providing a sense of openness while still defining the space. “This is a kitchen designed for those who appreciate the beauty of understated style and nuanced details. It’s a space that invites you to linger, to explore, to discover the subtle artistry woven into every element,” – explains Khushbu.
Framed by the stark geometry of black mullions, a new world unfolds—a room dedicated to the rituals of leisure. Here, the warm glow of polished wood meets the cool precision of the patterned marble floor. As a result, it creates a dialogue between organic forms and structured lines.
A velvet sofa, bathed in a buttery yellow, anchors the space with a touch of opulent comfort. The eye is drawn to the meticulously curated collection of vinyl, a testament to a passion for sonic artistry. Each album cover, a miniature work of art, hints at a story, a mood, a memory. This is not merely a room but a portal—a threshold between the everyday and the extraordinary, where the pleasures of music and companionship intertwine.
Natural materials and thoughtful details define this contemporary home office. The warm wood tones of the herringbone patterned floor & oak veneer countertops complement the pale gray cabinetry. The expansive, continuous veneered countertop offers a generous workspace, complemented by sleek cabinetry that provides concealed storage and a sophisticated backdrop for virtual meetings. Defying conventional layouts, the desk is strategically positioned facing the room’s entrance. As a result, it ensures ample front and rear space while providing a distraction-free environment for professional calls.
Serene order reigns in this minimalist master bedroom. Muted tones and clean lines create a calming atmosphere. A platform bed with an upholstered headboard anchors the space, its clean lines complemented by the textured wall paneling behind. Open shelving displays a curated collection, hinting at the client’s passions. Every element contributes to a sophisticated and restful retreat.
The design philosophy behind this walk-in wardrobe was to transform a typically utilitarian space into a personal sanctuary. The use of unexpected details, such as the wallpapered ceiling and textured rug, elevates the design beyond mere functionality. The focus on layered lighting and curated display creates a sense of luxury and sophistication, making the daily routine of dressing a more enjoyable and inspiring experience.
Textured marble walls with V-groove detailing and a slatted ceiling create a play of light and shadow in this jewel-box powder room. The sculptural sink and gleaming brass fixtures add a touch of understated luxury. We had to knock down an existing wall with an MCB panel and change the door position to create a perfect square plan without any wastage of area. The result is a space that is both beautiful and efficient.
The design philosophy behind this balcony was to create a serene and inviting outdoor space that seamlessly blends nature and comfort. The focus on natural materials, a neutral color palette, and comfortable seating creates a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding and enjoying the outdoors.
The thoughtful placement of colourful bougainvillea adds a touch of vibrancy and life to the space, making it a true oasis in the city. This balcony demonstrates how careful consideration of design elements can transform a small outdoor space into a functional and beautiful extension of the home.
