The use of locally sourced materials such as stone, clay products, timber, and handmade floor tiles evokes an authentic aesthetic that celebrates craftsmanship and regional identity.

    Driveway and Parking

“The design seamlessly blends architecture and landscape, with grass pavers reducing heat and aiding rainwater percolation. A stone wall and round window connect interior and exterior, while shaded parking with a tiled roof, tropical vegetation, and subtle level changes create a serene, climate-responsive setting inspired by Kerala’s vernacular charm.”

    Family Living

Illuminated by soft natural light from the circular window above the prayer wall, this living space showcases refined craftsmanship.

The Athangudi handmade tile flooring lends artisanal elegance, complemented by teak wood masonry and brick cladding that add warmth and texture. The composition reflects a seamless interplay of tradition, materiality, and light.

    Prayer Area And Holy Cross

The prayer wall, adorned with a subtle holy halo and cross, exudes serenity and spiritual depth. Soft light frames the symbols, creating a gentle aura that elevates the space beyond function into quiet reflection. The minimalist detailing and warm material palette lend the prayer area a timeless, contemplative aesthetic—where faith meets refined design.

    Dining Area

Anchored by a striking round window that frames the lush landscape, the dining area blurs the line between interior and nature. Soft daylight filters through the wooden grid, enriching the warm tones of the furniture and finishes, while the elegant pendant lights add a subtle glow.

The painting of The Last Supper above the cabinet deepens the space’s meaning, symbolizing unity and reflection. Together, these elements create a harmonious composition of art, light, and architecture.

    Kitchen

Flooded with soft natural light, the kitchen captures the essence of calm functionality. The large wooden-framed windows open to lush greenery, creating a refreshing connection to the outdoors while ensuring ample ventilation. Warm vertical tiles complement the deep green cabinetry, balancing texture and tone. The interplay of light, material, and earthy hues transforms this everyday space into an inviting, sensory experience—where nature and design coexist effortlessly.

    Master Bedroom

The master bedroom exudes warmth and tranquility with rich teak wood finishes and soft, neutral tones. Gentle lighting enhances the intimate ambiance, while the room opens out to a serene view of the pond area, seamlessly blending comfort with nature.

    Kids Bedroom

The bedroom overlooks the front yard, with wooden shutter windows that reduce heat gain and frame serene outdoor views. The blue tone, inspired by the Athangudi inlays in the Kota stone flooring, ties the space together—creating a cool, cohesive, and tranquil environment.

    Bay Window And Reading Area

This bay window, positioned on the north wall overlooking the pond, serves as a serene visual anchor while inviting soft reflected light into the interior.

The design ensures a constant cross-ventilation flow from the south wall to the north, maintaining natural cooling and freshness throughout the space—an elegant fusion of comfort, climate sensitivity, and contextual design.
