At Earthitects, we believe the space around us shapes the way we think and feel, aligning with our central ethos ‘Reverse Urbanisation,’ a concept of returning to nature. Our studio is designed to encourage the seamless flow of ideas and energy, where every element serves a purpose in creating a sustainable workplace. With a focus on constant innovation, delivering beyond expectations, keen eye to detailing and ultimately being one with nature.

Earthitects Studio design started with a vision to create an environment that pushes the boundaries of physical space and fuels the seamless flow of thoughts and ideas. A brand’s workspace serves as its physical embodiment, and the Earthitects workspace perfectly encapsulates its architectural essence of creating & consistently innovating the way we live, a concept that allows us to experience ‘living to the fullest’.

Editor’s Note: “Crafted from nature’s own vocabulary, Earthitects Studio flows with a purpose that is organic and alive. With every beam and bend, the studio echoes stillness, creativity, and wonder, turning the ordinary into extraordinary. Moreover, every detail speaks of purpose, narrating tales of sustainability and reverse urbanization.” ~ Anusha Sridhar

    Revitalizing Resources: Reimagining Sustainability

It all started with the idea of reusing the materials that we had in the existing building,” says George E Ramapuram. The clearing out of the existing building gave the end of life for various materials such as particle boards, MS frames, and carpets, but it also gave these materials a second life.

Our 3050 square feet space was converted into a sustainable office space using wooden joineries, raw unsized branches for lighting, white concrete for floors, Textured cement plasters for cascading patterns on the wall, faux leather for table upholstery, and flexi ply for wooden ceiling beams. By using all organic materials, we have created an exquisite design that enhances the space’s earthy ambience.

In monolithic design, A skirting that seamlessly binds floor and wall, blending harmoniously optimizing space and creating an open and expansive feel while establishing the new standard for office spaces. The
corners of the floor and wall are carefully crafted with a skirting that binds the floor and wall together with its form. Standing at the door, one can notice the wall flowing onto the floor, which forms also giving rise to the table with its beautiful curves. The floor has a contrasting, artistic material band of organic shape directing one’s eye across the expanse of space. Crafted from natural materials with an emphasis on environmental sustainability, every detail in the workspace is meticulously customized for the user.

    Earthitects Earth-Zone Reimagined

An innovative space fosters inventive thinking. While innovation was our major focus, we didn’t compromise on creating a sustainable work environment. Our studio is crafted to give life to nature’s materials, a harmonious blend of functionality and sustainability, designed to foster innovation and well being.

    Design Moulded by Values

Our organic workspace is designed to align with our brand values and goals, fostering the fullness of mind, body, and soul. This harmony is achieved through a perfectly balanced relationship between humans and the natural environment. This contributes to optimal performance, work routines, and employee metrics like engagement, wellness, and productivity. The detailed work and thought process poured into everything have resulted in flawless design and functionality, extending one’s comfort zone from the moment one enters the workspace to carry on with their day seamlessly.

The accessibility given to utilize the space at its maximum capability extends the user experience. The transformation of a private cabin for a meeting into an open space for larger gatherings & team brainstorming sessions or research pods creates a space that breathes & transforms with its users.

    Workstation Design

The workstation table of the room is a meticulously crafted monolithic piece made from cement that has been shaped to achieve its elegance and flow from one space to another giving a sheen effect and a fluid form. This sculptural desk exudes a sense of organic movement, its smooth curves and natural lines mirroring the contours of nature, blending effortlessly with the room’s rustic yet refined aesthetic.

An intricate lighting fixture made of twisted raw branches adds a touch of nature’s charm while providing ample illumination. This creative light fixture not only brightens the room but also serves as a piece of functional art, drawing the eye upward and emphasizing the room’s height. The wooden beams curve gracefully along the ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and also giving out a raw earthy charm. The sliding cabin doors act as a barrier that can be used to extend the cabin space, flow out and merge with the common space or be used as a private cabin according to the necessity. The cabins feature sliding glass doors, fostering an open and inclusive office environment at the same time. Created from the upcycled teak wood the storage along the beams that merge into the wall creates an expanse of texture & movement similar to that of a Banyan Tree.

    Inclusion of Natural Light

Large windows, allowing natural light to flood the space and offer a continuous connection to the outdoors. This abundance of daylight is complemented by the warm, ambient lighting, creating a balanced atmosphere conducive to both focus and relaxation. The expansive openings ensure transparency and openness, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining individual privacy.

Overall, this office space exemplifies a perfect blend of form and function, where the thoughtful integration of natural elements and innovative design principles come together to create a workspace that is both inspiring and inviting.

    Material Palette

When it comes to contemporary design, the fusion of natural and synthetic materials can create stunning and functional spaces. One of the key elements in this design philosophy is the use of upcycled wood, specifically teak, known for its durability and rich, warm tones. Teak’s reclined wood offers an inviting, organic aesthetic that adds a touch of timeless elegance to any space. Its natural grain patterns and deep hues can transform ordinary surfaces into focal points that exude luxury and sophistication.

Complementing the natural warmth of teak, white concrete surfaces provide a striking contrast that enhances the overall visual appeal. White concrete is not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly versatile and durable, offering a modern, clean look that balances the richness of wood and adds a Luxury touch.

The tables are topped by faux leather at the center with fluid shape enhancing the convenience and also concealing the sockets to keep the table free from clusters of wires and chargers. Mirrors play a crucial role in amplifying the sense of space and light within an interior. Strategically placed, mirrors can create the illusion of a larger room and reflect light to brighten dark corners.

For storage solutions, the outer bark used for cupboard surfaces introduces a unique, rustic charm. The textured bark brings a piece of the natural world indoors, provides a sustainable option but also adds a raw, organic element that contrasts beautifully with more refined materials like faux leather and white
concrete. Combining these materials—reclined teak wood, white concrete, faux leather, mirrors, and outer bark— creates a harmonious blend of nature and modernity, resulting in spaces that are not only functional but also rich in texture and visual interest.

    Office Space

This office space is a testament to the harmonious blend of modern design and natural elements, creating
an environment that fosters creativity and productivity. This skillfully crafted cantilever table is the
birthplace of ideas and the platform where plans take shape, leading to the creation of breathtaking
designs by our architects. The workstation table in the room features a unique design that resembles a floating slab, suspended elegantly with minimal columns. Furthermore, this creates the illusion of floating and enhances the island-like vibe of the workspace.

A series of high-backed executive chairs surround the table, offering comfort and promoting good posture for users. The comfort-designed chairs, in a soft beige hue, provide a modern contrast to the rustic elements while ensuring comfort and support for long hours of work. Above, an intricate lighting fixture made of twisted branches adds a touch of rustic charm while providing ample illumination. This creative light fixture not only brightens the room but also serves as a piece of functional art, drawing the eye upward and emphasizing the room’s height.

This innovative design maximizes legroom and enhances comfort. Moreover, it contributes to a sense of openness, making the space feel expansive and free of visual obstacles. The table’s organic shape draws the eye with its natural elegance. Additionally, its smooth, polished surface reflects the company’s commitment to bespoke craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Duet of the Forms & Functions

Nestled in a lush, sunlit corner, this corner of the office space offers an environment that inspires both creativity and productivity. A uniquely crafted table anchors the room, featuring a sculpted, organic base that seamlessly blends with the floor. The idea arose from the initial concept of ‘Flow,’ inspired by the organic shapes observed in nature.

Rustic wooden beams line the ceiling, incorporating natural tree branches with intricate designs. This intentional detail brings a touch of the outdoors indoors. Notably, these wooden beams also double as ingenious storage spaces. Drawing inspiration from traditional overhead cabinets, they offer a practical solution without compromising the room’s aesthetic appeal. This multifunctional design element keeps the workspace organized while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.

Natural light floods the room through large windows that frame the lush greenery outside. As a result, the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces blurs, fostering a deeper connection with nature. The minimalist design ethos is evident in the uncluttered layout, where every element serves a purpose without overwhelming the senses. Subtle lighting highlights the architectural features, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages focus and creativity. The carefully curated space embodies a balance of tranquility and dynamism. As a result, it becomes an ideal setting for innovative thinking and effective work. Here, the raw beauty of natural materials meets the clean curves of modern design, resulting in an office that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.

    Bringing Nature’s Canopy Indoors

Our uniquely designed Ante-space blends functionality with artistry. Designers used outer bark and reclined teak wood to craft the space, creating a warm and inviting environment that exudes rustic charm. The Ante-space is a masterpiece in itself, designed to evoke the feeling of being inside a tree canopy. These rustic wooden panels, meticulously arranged in a gentle curve, form a harmonious, almost organic enclosure. Skilled hands crafted each panel with care, creating a canopy-like effect that adds depth and character to the space.

The clever use of a large mirror not only adds a touch of elegance but also enhances the perception of space. Moreover, by reflecting the intricate woodwork and soft lighting, the mirror creates an illusion of a much larger area. As a result, the ante-space feels open and inviting. This thoughtful design ensures functionality as a storage area. At the same time, it offers a soothing and inspiring environment for employees as they begin and end their day.

Blurring Lines Between Nature & Architecture

As you step into the entrance of this remarkable office, you are immediately greeted by an environment that blurs the lines between nature and architecture. The design showcases an organic blend of materials, where wooden beams curve gracefully along the ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Lush plants fill our carefully designed organic workspace. Thus, bringing nature indoors and improving air quality to create a better work environment. The expansive use of glass allows natural light to flood the space, enhancing the rich textures and earthy tones of the wood. This seamless integration of natural elements sets a tranquil tone. As a result, the transition from the outside world to the office space feels almost effortless.

The overall design speaks volumes about the company’s philosophy – one that values creativity, wellbeing, and a deep connection to nature. This entrance is not just a gateway to an office. Instead, it serves as an introduction to a workspace designed to inspire and nurture the minds that inhabit it.
