Perched high on the 13th floor of a striking property in NIBM, Pune, this balcony, an outdoor retreat, is a serene oasis that captures the breathtaking beauty of its surroundings, offering sweeping views of 12 acres of lush forests and mesmerising sunsets. Tasked with transforming this space into the ultimate outdoor retreat, Purru masterfully blended natural splendour with vibrant, thoughtful design, creating a luxurious haven perfect for both relaxation and lively gatherings.
This Serene Outdoor Retreat Blends Nature with Vibrancy | Purru
Drawing inspiration from the verdant paradise beyond, the design embraces the rhythm of nature while introducing playful, uplifting elements. A vibrant selection of nature-inspired furniture defines the seating areas, combining comfort with an understated elegance that complements the open-air setting.
Rustic vintage touches, such as an antique dressing table, imbue the space with a nostalgic charm, creating a layered, textured experience that feels both timeless and welcoming.
Plant life plays a starring role, breathing vitality into the space. Lush greenery housed in ornate Mughal hand-painted pots introduces a burst of colour and artistry, softening the structural edges of the balcony and blurring the line between indoor and outdoor living.
Underfoot, beige and indigo patterned tiles add a sophisticated texture, grounding the vivid palette with a timeless elegance that perfectly harmonizes with the natural backdrop.
Pops of bright canary yellow, fuchsia pink, and vibrant blues in the accessories inject the balcony with energy and joy, ensuring the atmosphere remains lively and inviting from sunrise to sundown.
Billowing curtains dance gently in the breeze, providing softness and a sense of intimacy, while a cheerful floral wallpaper ties the vibrant look together, ensuring a cohesive and spirited aesthetic.
Lighting, thoughtfully integrated within wooden panelling, casts a warm, inviting glow as evening descends. Further, allowing the space to transform effortlessly into a cosy sundowner paradise. One of the most endearing features is a dog-house-shaped piece of furniture — a charming nod to the four-legged family members, combining playful design with genuine functionality.
Every inch of this balcony has been thoughtfully crafted, celebrating a harmonious balance between colour, nature, and comfort. The result is a delightful escape. It is a lively, soul-soothing haven that frames the stunning landscape and turns every sunset into a moment of magic.
For Purru, the true highlight of this project was the sheer joy and satisfaction of the client. It is a testament to the power of design to transform a vision into a living, breathing reality.
