This Refined Escape Reflects Chettinad House Design and Contemporary Elegance | Quintae Architects
Stepping into this 2-storey home is an experience in itself – a seamless confluence of Chettinad heritage and modern elegance. The foyer framed by striking black pillars, intricate marble inlays, and a vibrant traditional painting, sets the tone for a space where heritage is reimagined with depth and cultural richness.
The living area carries this narrative forward with handcrafted accents, statement pieces, and a grand ceiling panel repurposed from an antique door come together with rich decorative elements to create an ambiance that is both regal and welcoming. A refined material palette ensures visitors a setting that remains deeply rooted in heritage while embracing contemporary elegance.
The dining area is defined by a hand-painted hanging light (designed by architect), adorned with Pichwaii-inspired artwork adding a touch of cultural charm. The vintage wooden wheel and traditional pots subtly reinforce the home’s deep-rooted cultural essence.
The home embraces traditional craftsmanship with furniture that echoes the elegance of a by-gone era. Vintage-inspired vanities, ornate consoles, and finely carved chairs lend warmth and character, bringing a timeless charm to the interiors.
The all 4 bedrooms tell a unique story, weaving contemporary design with Chettinad influences. A vintage window frame serves as an accent wall decor, while the four-poster bed with suspended hangers reminiscent of traditional swings.
