Serene House showcases a contemporary design approach, blending modern minimalist house design with subtle classic touches. This creates a space that feels both fresh and timeless, catering to the family’s desire for functionality and a touch of elegance.
While lacking a dedicated foyer, Serene House makes a charming first impression. We transformed the space just outside the living room into a miniature garden. This unexpected touch of nature adds a sense of tranquillity and sets the tone for the contemporary home.

The living area embraces a contemporary aesthetic with a subtle classic touch. Green hues create a calming atmosphere, complemented by earthy tones in the tan-brown upholstery and patterned curtains. Existing columns flanking the main wall (behind the sofa) were cleverly repurposed as wainscoting, framing a piece of art for added visual interest.
A modern hanging light near the window infuses warmth, while a perforated metal partition separates the living space from the dining area. This artistic partition, crafted with CNC cutting and a golden frame, adds both functionality and visual intrigue.
The dining area seamlessly continues the wainscoting theme from the living space, further unifying the open floor plan. Another framed artwork adorns the wall, and to prioritize budget-consciousness, the existing dining table and chairs were reupholstered, breathing new life into the furniture.
The ceiling in the dining area itself becomes a focal point, with molding forming a beautiful geometric pattern.
A designated pooja area serves as a tranquil haven for prayer and reflection. A curved wallpaper backdrop creates a serene scene.
Dr. Kain’s master bedroom utilizes green as the base color, playing with textures to create visual interest. A unique design element involves jute fabric sandwiched between glass panels, adding a textural contrast.
The bed backsplash features wallpaper, enhancing the space while maintaining a budget-friendly approach.
Inspired by a unique floral wallpaper brought back from Russia, the daughter’s room embodies a rustic elegance. The wallpaper features a charming floral pattern with green and gold accents, complemented by soft pink tones.
To echo the floral theme, we incorporated flower-printed ceramic knobs (sourced from Amazon for an affordable touch of elegance) alongside brass highlights and rustic white furniture laminates.
Tailored for a young superhero fan, the son’s room celebrates his love for Batman. Blue hues dominate the space, with playful football-shaped drawer knobs adding a personal touch reflecting his other passion.
The inspiration for Serene House stemmed from the heart of the project itself: the family. We sought to create a home that reflected the unique personalities of each member. The daughter’s room embodies a sense of elegance and femininity, drawing inspiration from her treasured floral wallpaper. Dr. Kain’s master bedroom utilizes calming green hues, reflecting a desire for tranquillity after a long day. By understanding and celebrating each family member’s individuality, we were able to transform their vision for a modern and functional home into a reality.
