Mayur Thakkar approached us once again for this modern minimalist apartment design, impressed by our design of the “Haash” residence, which is also his property. Having already established a strong creative rapport with him, we were excited to collaborate on another project. This time, the brief centered around a 3BHK apartment with a clear and purposeful requirement: a minimal, low-maintenance design, perfectly suited for his short yet frequent visits to India. With this in mind, we envisioned a modern yet simple interior language, defined by clean lines, subtle tones, and an understated elegance that would stand the test of time.

We settled on a single-toned palette that would flow cohesively throughout the home, creating a unified visual experience. The goal was to strike a balance between functionality and aesthetics, making the space warm and welcoming, yet incredibly easy to manage.
As you enter, the foyer sets the tone with a soft architectural gesture, an arched window fitted with fixed, tinted brown glass. This feature not only adds character but also contributes to the visual connection between two spaces. The window is framed by a uniquely toned veneer that continues seamlessly into the rest of the home, offering visual continuity. The arched concept from the foyer gently transitions into the living room, where design and comfort intertwine effortlessly.
In the living room, soft aqua-green sofas are the main focal point, creating a cool and cozy ambiance that feels both fresh and timeless. These are paired with two striking peacock-green accent chairs, strategically placed to create a conversational layout. Behind the seating arrangement, a charming piece of macramé owl art adds a decorative feature, reinforcing the home’s tranquil and grounded aesthetic.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the combined dining and puja space, an area where spirituality and daily life meet seamlessly. The dining table, constructed using a similar full-body tile, mirrors the kitchen’s surfaces, reinforcing the material palette.
It sits in front of an elegant arched panel that features textured artwork, becoming a quiet but striking centerpiece. Next to it, the puja unit is thoughtfully designed in veneer with pocket doors that slide away cleanly. This design ensures the sanctity of the puja space remains intact, without obstructing movement when open.
The kitchen carries the same minimalist theme but with a refined functional edge. Full-body tiles were used for both the countertop and backsplash, ensuring durability and ease of cleaning.
These are complemented by similarly toned full-core laminates for the cabinetry, which subtly blend into the background. To add contrast and a bit of visual interest, we included glass-profile cabinets that lend a sleek, contemporary touch and reflect light beautifully, enhancing the sense of space.
The bedrooms all follow a unified design language: veneer beds, upholstered headboards, glass-profile wardrobes, and loose side tables. While the structural elements remain consistent, we introduced subtle variations through fabric colors and textures.
Each room thus has its own identity, muted green, warm brown, and a soft, dusty cedar. It reflects the client’s taste and enhances comfort.
The same thoughtful attention to detail continues into the bathrooms. Though the tiles remain uniform across all three, the designers gave each bathroom a distinct character, through lighting, accessories, or mirror design, ensuring uniqueness while maintaining overall cohesion.
The final result is a space that feels warm, cozy, and timeless, visually soothing yet highly functional. It’s a home designed not just for living, but for recharging, a perfect retreat that is beautiful in its simplicity and remarkably easy to maintain.
