Modern Sanctuary is a 1850 sq. ft. 4 bhk apartment in Gurgaon, designed for a young couple from the food industry who wanted a modern interior design home that feels minimal and clean. The family was shifting out of a paternal home from Delhi to Gurgaon.
This Modern Interior Design Home Reflects The Couple’s Love For Clean, Minimal Spaces | Bonita Casa
A spacious foyer with a modern wall paneling has a visitor chair in the corner with an intricate pendant lamp completing the space.
Beautiful play of black accents against the neutral backdrop makes it look edgy, bold, modern and yet subtle reflecting the client’s personality.
Moving on to the dining area, wall design in plaster of paris defines the space. A 4-part cylindrical bar unit fits just right in the corner and adds a sculptural nuance to the space. Longer left wall has a unique and bespoke wall art done in Gwalior and Red fort stone.
Dining area connects with the living room. The curvy sectional breaks the linearity of the space, and the swivel accent chairs with an irregular rug starts interesting conversations.
Longer wall of the living area has a full-fledged unit with storage, tv ledge and a beautiful open metal section for adding the greens and to make the space alive.
Den has a long curvy sofa cum bed with a modern and interesting shaped accent chair placed against a chest of drawers in bold black and rattan to create balance. A motorized screen has been added for enjoying the late-night movies and chilling with friends.
Master Bedroom has a plain central wall with a one-sided curved overlapping panel. Showstopper is the enveloping bed with bedside tables against the neutral backdrop and accentuated with black bold pendant lamps.
TV unit on opposite wall has been given a longer look by concealing and camouflaging the bathroom door in the same finish and addition of shelves makes it an extension to the seating corner.
Parents Bedroom has a beautiful blend of modern elements with traditional and warm vibe. A comfortable space with different nooks designed for parents who keep visiting the couple.
Rattan pendant lamps with green accent, wooden molding to define the length of the wall and an irregular shaped mirror with a dresser unit binds the space together. Opposite wall has a sleek modern TV unit with floating shelves for display of frames and curios.
Study is a multi-functional space for this family. It houses an end-to-end large walk-in closet beautifully done in subtle grey with molding and fluting details on the shutters and one section highlighted in glass profile.
On the central wall, is an edgy black framed tall mirror with metal bars covering the entire height which is complimented with a herringbone patterned pouffe to sit and style oneself.
On the opposite wall, a beautiful arched shaped mandir is etched with a long modern line of design study unit. The whole room comes together with its white and grey.
